Wolf Brother discussion

((The following story is a roleplay me and my friend started over a year ago. For some reason we stoped so if anyone wants to be Ornita or Thaw please tell me. Ask me first before you start roleplaying! Thanks!))

((Okay this is the start. Anyone can play as Autumn too.))
"3-2-1-Go!"
Autumn whispered to her self as she loosed an arrow.It pearced the wood grouse through the heart. Hanging her bow and quiver on a near by branch she set out to collect the kill. She sat down and made fast work of plucking it and gutting it. Leaving part of the liver for the guardian she gulped the rest down while it was still warm. Tossing the feet to Mist Autumn started to wake a fire to cook the evening meal on.

Night fell quicker than it should of that night.
"The Storm is on the way Mist, we must find the cave you speak of." Autumn Whispered to Mist
"Do not worry, Autumn, We will be there soon i can almost taste it."
"Can you even remember where it is, Mist, it has been a long time.."
"We shall see young one."
The next day they set out without food at the first hint of light.
"This progress is to slow" Autumn said "It is time i shape shifted."
In the blink of an eye Autumn was a Beautiful Grey wolf and together the two she-wolves loped through the woods. Out of the corner of her Amber eyes Mist saw a black wolf and A male tailless loping in the same direction and in a swish of their tail the two changed direction. Too late the Male wolf had spotted them and he was now loping after them the tailless following their tracks at a steady run.

Thaw stared bewildered after Midnight as he ran after him it was not like him, not like him at all.

Thaw sumble into the clearing and was shocked to see a beautiful Girl sitting by a fire her hair flowing down her back. The most surprising sight was Midnight. He was lying grooming a white She-wolf by the fire and a small smile crept accross the girls face.
"hello, What is your name?" She asked not even looking round.
"Thaw. What is yours?"
"Autumn" She said finally looking at him
it took all his strengh not to step back. The intense beauty of her eyes warmed his heart.
"ummm your wolf is beautiful."
"Thank you, as is yours."
"I have never seen such an intense black in a wolf so young."
Thaw was awed this girl is wonderfull. And suddenly he never wanted to leave her side.
"Where are you travelling to?" asked Thaw
"I do not know" she said looking at her wolf as she padded over to her side.
"Do you wish to acompany us?" the She-wolf wagged her tail excitedly.
Midnight came bounding over
"Please Thaw can we?"
Thaw thought for a minute.
"If it will not be a problem"
"Of Course it will not"
Setting up a shelter of leafs and saplings the two taillesses settled for the night while Mist and Midnight went off on an adventure. Little did they know of the danger lying just beyond the boundaries.

The wolves heard a lone wolfs' howl on the wind as they ran together through the deep woods the dark had come but the wolves could see almost as well as they could in the light. The tailless seemed to cope well also.
"How can Thaw see so well in this Darkness?" Mist asked Midnight
"He was abandoned and deemed Clanless as a cub. He was left with my pack and ever since then we have travelled together and he just seems to have picked up some of the talents of the wolf. Enough of Thaw. What of Autumn what is her story?" Replied Midnight.
"Do you swear by your tooth and claw you will not tell a soul?"
"Of course,Mist,I swear it by my tooth and claw."
"Well she is a shapeshifter"
A look of fear crossed his face but it vanished just as quickly as it appeared.
A sense of deep relief spread through Mist from nose to tail.
She suddenly felt like the moon the two had spent together was much longer. She wanted to spend eternity with him.

Ornita looked up to the sky. What she saw was black. The sun did come up this morning. The song birds never sang their song. Something was wrong. Ornita left 3 days before to go hunting with two other raven clan members. She woke this morning with no sun to greet her. Len and Sisna (the other raven clan members) were gone. Ornita looked around at the campsite. It was normal, exept that all of Len and Sisna's gear was gone. She stood up. Ornita may hear well but she can sleep through almost anything. That is one of her weaknesses. Maybe they left without her. They don't like her at all. This is not the first time Len and Sisna have left her. In fact the whole clan seemed to not like her. Because of the darkness Ornita couldn't tell the time of day. She gathered everything and left. Ember came and seemed very counfused of the darkness. Perhaps the World Spirt decided to punish the world. Ornita walked through the farmilair Forest. She was about 1 day-walk away from camp. But in this darkness maybe 3 day-walks away. She could only imagin what is happening to the clans right now. Ember squaked. Ornita woke up out of her dreams. Suddenly she heard a step behind her. She turned around. There was a boy standing there. Maybe 17 summers old. And a wolf as black as the sky above was right next to him. She knew she should of heard them.

((Um...Thaw left Autumn to go see the people that came close to finding their camp. So Autumn went ahead to go find the cave while Thaw stayed to spy on the Raven Clan hunting party.))

Thaw looked down at the raven girl. She was with a hunting party.
"I must warn Autumn,Midnight,they could be in danger"
"I will go young one you stay and keep a watchfull eye on these people" And with a swish of his tail the wolf was gone.
Thaw sat down and still the girl watched him, it made him uncomfortable.

Ornita caught up with her hunting party. They got lost in the darkness. She didn't tell them of the boy following them. She only saw him twice anyways. They would most likey think she was making it up. They camped for the night(or what they thought of as night) and started a fire. Ornita suddenly got the feeling of being watched. She turned her head. Again she saw that boy. She stared at him. He hid behind a bush so he could no longer be seen. Ornita still decided against telling Len and Sisna about him. She had a feeling that they would get very angrey. Hunting was bad. They caught nothing. They could not return to the clan till they caught something lagre enough for the whole clan. After her hunting mates went to bed she went to go find the boy. Ornita brought her knife and bow and arrows. She nocked an arrow. "Boy I know you're there. Why follow us? We are just a Raven Clan hunting party! We mean no harm." A sound. Ornita turned around. A raven landed on a branch. It was only Ember. Suddenly another sound. Ornita turned around again but this time to see a wolf growling before a stone hit her and she fell on the ground. Passed out.

Thaw looked down at the raven girl she had no visible injuries but she was still unconsious.
"I hope she will be okay,Midnight, i did not meen so much harm to come to her i just wanted to talk and give her hunting party this-"
He showed Midnight a stag he had caught.
"I want them out of here"
"Hmm..." growled Midnight

Ornita opened her eyes. Than sat up quickly. No one was there. She saw her camp to the side. She thought, next time i see that boy i'll, i'll what? He was gone and she hoped he was far away too. Ember gave a squak. He was still somewhere nerby. Ornita stood up, picked up her bow, and walked back to camp. Where is the sun?!? It was still as black as night. When she got back to the small shelter she started a fire. Maybe it would keep away that wolf she saw before she passed out. Her hunting party woke up. They were very short on food. Ornita finally told them about that boy. They did believe her after a while. Ember fly over head being very loud. Something was near....

The thing, the demon came out of no where! They were forced to leave behind there shelter. Luckly they grabed most of the sulplies. Ornita looked behind her. There she saw it. The shadow darker than night chasing them. Len fell on a log he tried to jump over. Ornita and Sisna ran over to help him. He lie there screaming. Ornita and Sisna didn't make it in time. The demon thing came over him. Ornita never found out what happened to him. She was running as fast as she could away form the monster. All she could hear was screaming. Until it was cut off five seconds later. Ornita and Sisna ran and ran till Ember came by and landed on a branch. Ornita knew it would be safe here. At least for now. They stood there panting for a while. Then Sisna sat down. Ornita sat down next to hear. Then Sisna burst out into tears. "Shh!!! That..that thing might hear you."Ornita sharply wispered. Sisna gulped down her tears. She pulled out the three last strips of meat. They each had a halve of a piece. They got up and started walking, avoiding thoughts about the Raven member they just lost. Ornita, for some strange reason, hoped that the boy who followed them before was okay. A tear dropped down Ornita's cheek.

Thaw saw the Raven man being dragged off by the demon and shot an arrow at its head it yelled in pain and turned and fled back through the woods. the man was alive. just. nidnight fetch the raven girls quickly i fear for this man that the deamon will come back

Ornita looked at the black wolf. He looked at her. She know to follow him. "Come on Sisna, i think this wolf wants to help." "Lets first see what way he goes." They walked towards him and he turned around and started walking. Towards the way of the demon. Sisna was spooked. "Maybe this wolf is the demon! Trapped inside maybe! I mean look how black he is!"Sisna said. Ornita rolled her eyes. "Come ON! Sisna, can't you tell that this wolf may try and help us?" Ornita followed the wolf. She looked over her shoulder. Sisna was right behind her. They walked until they saw Len on the ground. He was alive. Barly. Sisna ran to him. Her face turned surprised as she saw all wounds were cared for. Ornita looked and saw the wolf reunite with that boy.

Ornita placed bolth hands over her heart and bowed slightly, to show that they were friendly. "Uh...thanks for saving Len. Was anyone else hurt by the demon?"The boys looked at Ornita. "Not that I know of but i do think that there will be more." The one with no clan tatoos said. "Well should we make camp for tonight. It's hard to tell what time it is without the sun." Ornita said. She just did not want to be attacked again by demons. And she was exhasted. Ornita couldn't hunt now. She needed rest. So she and Sisna set up a shelter to share (and a shelter for Len to rest in)quickly, they ate the last peice of meat they had, and went to sleep. All without saying a word.

Thaw looked at the girl he had just learnt to be called Ornita,
"Come, come meet my pack sister. Midnight run ahead pick up their scent we will follow."
And with that he walked out of the clearing hoping the girl would follow him.

Sisna looked at Ornita already guessing what she was going to do. "Don't. I need help hunting and caring for Len. Don't go." Ornita looked back at Sisna and thought hard. After a few moments she decided, "You don't need help hunting. That boy was nice enough to leave us food. And Len is strong. You guys can make it before the storm hits. And I'm sure I'll be fine. Besides you and most of the clan never liked me," Ornita picked up her supplies she already packed. Sisna ran over to her before Ornita left. "NO! You do not go! You are of only of 15 summers. To young yet to understand!" Ornita turned and ran the way the boy left. She didn't need her clan anymore.

Thaw and the Raven Girl Ornita walked for a sun before finding Autumn and mist they must have moved camp because of the daemon, he thought.

It seemed that the clouds in the sky were getting more and more angrey all the time. Ornita continued walking on with Thaw. She liked this boy. He was skilled at most things. But he was still a mystery. When they finaly reached the camp nothing was there. Ornita could see in uncertainty and confusin in Thaws eyes.

"they must have moved camps" Thaw told Ornita and he put his hands to his mouth and howled. a long wavering howl replied and they once again set out.

Ornita sat with her back against the willow tree. She closed her eyes and thought of that cursed day. The day 8 years ago. She was of only 7 summers then but she still picture that day. Her brother...was murdered. By something more powerful than Ornita could imagen. Yolen was 12 summers old, when it came. The clan believed he would become the clan leader someday. He was as of a raven. Always on the watch for anything. He was full of wisdom even at his young age. He was a great leader. Was. Yaten loved his little sister Ornita. He spent a whole week once to make her a doll. It was a doll of a great and powerfull hunter. Ornita loved it. She still has it in her pack. He would spend much time hunting and learning all there is to be taught. He was talented. In the mind and body. So the clan leader planed to send him and another young hunter to the Boar clan next year when they would bolth be 13 summers. But Yolen never went.
Yolen and Ornita's parents took care of them. They were proud of their son. And they loved there daughter. Yolen was kind enough to teach Ornita in the way of the hunter. He also taught her to listen. To hear what was going on. She learned to listen well and to hear the quetisest sound. She praticed aming with a bow and spear in all her spare time, When her Ma wasn't teaching her how to do things a women must know how to do. Ornita was good at cooking food but nothing else relley. All the clothes she tried to sew turned to disasters. Fa tatooed Ornita's cheeks that year. She felt to proud to have them. Mostly because she looked up to Yolen and he had clan tatooes. So of course she had to have them too! Yolen taught Ornita to love birds. Yolen would care for fallen ravens because of his love for his clan creatre. He believed that if he took care for them that good luck would come. It did till...till that day. Ornita would one day take in a raven that would become her best friend. Though Yolen may have saved some ravens and protected 100s, it was a raven that took his life. It happened one day when Yolen was helping Ornita aim with her bow. She was about to hit her target for the first time when a raven came through the trees. It was large for a raven. It squacked and came straight for both of them. Ornita's knife was in the shelter. Yolen pulled out his and stood in front Ornita and told her to run. but she only stepped back.
Ravens can't be evil can they? Was the exact thought of Ornita at that moment.
Yolen screamed as the raven nocked him down. Why was this raven so strong? It ripped at his flesh.
"ORNITA! DON'T LET IT GET YOUUU!!!!" yelled Yolen. His last words. Ornita thought she saw the eyes glow red. But she forgot about that and ran to the shelter. She ran to her sleep sack. She shut her eyes tight and held the doll Yolen gave to her. Ornita's mom ran to her. She tried to comfort Ornita.
Yolen must of know something was wrong with that raven. But how? Is the exact thought of Ornita thinking back to this moment. Fa must of told him something. No not Fa, maybe the mage. Yolen used to talk to her. But what did they say? He know that the raven was evil. For some reson the raven just flew away after that. It didn't attack the shelter or anyone else.
Ornita's Fa came in. He saw his son's body outside. "Naka, our son! Yolen! Come!" Naka(Ornitas mom) ran outside. Ornita found enough streangh and also walked outside. What she saw was a bloody mess.
Yolen's throut was ripped open with flesh and blood everywhere. Ornita closed her eyes again. And cryed. People saw the boy. They all made the sign to ward off evil. The mage came and collected the souls. The clan leader came and got Ornita. He brought her into his shelter.
"Ornita, its okay. Calm down. It's okay. Can you tell me what happened? Nice and slow?"
Ornita stared at his hard and old face. "The raven came and attcked Yolen. Then he died..." She then busrted into tears. The Raven leader didn't believe that. And most of the clan didn't either. Everyone thought she somehow killed him. They thought that she had some form of magic and used it to hurt the future clan leader.
And Because Ornita was only seven they couldn't do much. They punished her treating her badly.
No one would talk to her but her parents. No one trusted her. But they almost accepted her after a few years. She was a good hunter. She was usefull.
But no one cared for her enough to befriend her (not inculeding her parents.) She had one friend and his name is Ember. And he is a Raven. She was still a raven clan member. They couldn't treat her with complete disrespect. So they would bring on hunting trips a lot. No one believes her to this day. They don't believe what they can't see.
Thats why Ornita left with that wolf boy to the unknown.

Autumn could see the cave in the distance. mist ran ahead and autumn ran to catch up. "i hope thaw and midnight are ok" she murrmured to herself

Thaw waited for a reply from his howl. Nothing. He waited longer. Still nothing. Suddenly thougthts of dread came over him. What if they got hurt? He hoped that they were safe. Thaw sensed that someone was staring at him. He looked up at the girl. She turned her head. A raven suddenly flew out of the trees and landed on her shoulders. She smiled at the raven. Thaw saw the warmness of her smile. He could tell that this was her only friend she ever had. He could see the grief on her face, though it happened years and years ago. He could tell that she was searching for something, something like an adventure. All those things he could tell from her eyes. And her smile.

Ornita smiled to her friend, Spark the raven. Her only friend throughout the last few years. She let him flew away up into the trees. Thaw seemed sad. His compainons were gone. Midnight came sniffing the campground. Well, most of his compainons.
"Um, do you think that we should move on?" she asked awkardly.

(krya is my name b/c like it..!! she has tan skin and black hair with blue eyes. has quick reflexs.her clan is the eagle clan... don't know if its real.She's mostly blind so tht why she isn't a hunter. Shes a mage. i guess tht's all....))


Kyra sat opposite the fire. Seeker was in the air agian. her ears were listening for the slights movment. She felt blind without Seeker near her. he was her eyes since all she could see was formless shapes moving. Her clan had abandoned her when she was younger. Seeker's mother had found her and brought her to her young to eat. Seeker had protected her when his sibilings had tried to eat her. They had formed an unbreakable bond.

Again the voices were heard. She wished sekker was hear so she coud ask him who they were. i must wait till he is here.

((Whos seeker?))

((An eagle, duh.))

Spark flew high into the sky. He flew in circles and looked at the Forest that seemed to go on forever. He loved flying. While in the middle of a flip, Spark noticed a bird. Ruler of the Skye. Curious, Spark flew closer to it. It was farther that he had thought. Soon, Spark could see it's talens sparkle in the sun. Its wings so much bigger than his own. Spark still stayed his distance.
After growing bored of the Eagle, Spark saw smoke. From a hot-beast. He flew down to investigate. He saw a human girl. She sat by the hot-beast. That was all he noticed because the eagle had sooed him away.
Spark went back to Orinta, his fellow raven.

kyra junped as Seeker decended next to her. She immediatly laid a hand on his back. she quickly interpreted the hopping and flapping of the eagle until shefound all she needed to know.


She quickly packed her bags and put the fire out . she walked into the forest in search of the strangers

((Sorry im solw))mist was running in circles "quick. in here. bad taillesses." Autumn didnt notice anything but she shapeshifted into her wolf form and ran after mist anyway

Spark flew around Ornita. He was trying to tell her something but she couldn't understand what exactly. She couldn't speak raven. Something along the lines of "a bird of prey" and "girl by a fire". She told Thaw this. Thaw decied earlier that they would camp here. When she asked how long he just simply shook his head. But when Orinta told him the news, surprising, he said to continue to camp here.

Kyra ran through the forest feeling the vibrations of the growing trees thorugh her feet. she easliy dogged the trees. She asked Seeker how much farther.

as autumn entered the cave she senced somthing was wrong. on the ground she noticed boot prints. they were fresh, maybe five hours old. mist insisted that they were safe so Autumn unrolled her sleeping sack woke up the fire and went to sleep

Thaw had a feeling. A feeling that he should stay here at the camp. Maybe Autumn would come? He didn't know. Thaw didn't tell Ornita though. He didn't trust her yet. He knew that she trusted him though. Or at least he thought.
He sat there poking the fire with a stick. Ornita stood there with her arms crossed. "We are we still at this camp? Shouldn't we find some real shelter before the strom comes?"
What could he say to her?
"I don't think that we should leave this camp yet," he said.
"Well, I think that we should leave now! What is keeping you here? The other girl isn't coming back here. Spark says that a girl is coming, but your girl has a wolf with her, I believe. This girl has a bird of prey. What if she's heading this way? Do you really want to stay here?"
Thaw was starting to hate Ornita as much as he liked her. She did leave her clan to come with him. He never asked for a compainain besides Autumn. And Autumn had left. He stood up to face her.
"Well if you really want to know, I have a feeling that we should stay here, for now at least."
"Oh, a feeling. THAT explains EVERYTHING! Thanks. I'm going to hunt now, if you don't mind. We're running out of food and since we may be staying here for a while-"
"Nothing too big. I doubt we'll have to wait long." he inturupted.

Kyra crouched hiding in the underbrush
she had heard the last part of the converstion...
so they knew she was coming.....how......
She judged that the they were independent souls and not accostumed to each other yet. but hte real question was if they were a danger or not.
Seeker flew overhead

Ornita grabbed her bow. She walked out of camp without even looking at Thaw. He was so different! Couldn't he just tell her what really was going on? And the storm was coming in fast. She did not want to be here when it hit. She crouched in the forest listening to the sounds around her. She shut her eyes to concentrat. Snap! A twig broke. She opened her eyes. It was a rabbit. That was fast, she thought. Ornita drew back her bow. She heard something. Something big was over by camp. (And big as in larger than a rabbit, smaller than a deer, so human size.) And it can't be Thaw, thought Ornita. The sound was a quiet one. Thaw usally didn't move even that quiet. She relaxed her bow. Someone was here. But who? The person most likly saw Ornita go to hunt. So hunt she would.
She turned back towards the rabbit and shot it. Her aim was okay. Not the best in the clan. Not the worst. What a strange animal. It had stayed still even when she was pointing her bow at it. Now it's souls would help her on her jouney. She thanked the clan creature for such luck at this hunt and returned back to camp. She had to tell Thaw about this.

Kyra watched as the girl shot the rabbit. She croched and took the blackroot powder from her pack and disguised her caln marks. Making them into a deer clan marks. She crouched and took some dirt and rubbed it over her legs and eyes making herself very tan and dirty. she pulled the dirt trough her long hair forcing it into clumps making her look very ragged.
then she prepared herself to meet them. Already she could sense the storm coming. She must ack fast. The air smelled 2 strong of rain and flood the river 2 close. She checked with Seeker who sounded the all clear and swoopped into the clearing.
She took a deep breatha nd prepared to meet the first people she ahd met since her clan had abandoned her.

She walked into the camp, just when Ornita was going to tell Thaw. She walked forward. Ornita could she her red Deer marks. Thaw and Ornita exchanged glaces. He stood up. He placed both hands on his heart and bowed, showing peace. Ornita did the same thing.
"Hello, I'm Ornita, Raven Clan."
"And I'm Thaw, of no clan."
Ornita smiled and signaled to Thaw to do the same.

Kyra bowed in the same manner and then spoke:

"why have you come hear. this is a barrena dn forsaken place. You should leave. Quickly. My eyes tell me nothing but my ears say a storm is coming. Leave before it is to late. I will guide you some of the way. Make your choice but let it be the wise one.

Thaw stared at the girl. Should they leave? He knew that is was time to move on. "We came here looking for a member of our eh, scouting group." Thaw felt bad lying, but he'd never give away what they really were. "And we were just deciding on moving on too," he said. Ornita nodded approving this decion.
"And we'd be honored if you'd guide us too," Ornita added. What? He mouthed to Ornita. She ignorned him. Thaw's anger rose. What is with that Raven girl?

Kyra saw the knod and sat down. unfortualty (sp) we hav waited to long. We must wait out the storm. Before it comes we could run for a while.
