The Garden
Samantha walked pleasently through the garden sniffing flowers every once and awhile.Katelin stayed close behind stopping every time she stopped and only just not running into her.
"You know you don't have to stand that close!" Samantha snapped. "I do now otherwise I'm in trouble! They already got pissed at me for letting you out of my sight that time!" She answered grudgingly. "Hey I never said to follow me across that bridge after you found me!" She protested. The girls went on bickering as they walked. It was obvious the two didn't get along.
Sera strolled into the garden, losing herself to the peace. This was one of her favourite places to think and she mindlessly walked around, lost in her thoughts.
Kaleb walks around feeling calm and at ease away from people.
Sera walked over to the bridge and kneeling down, started to move her legs over the railings as she sat down and looked over the water. She started humming softly to herself
Kaleb hears the humming and moves to it. He sees a girl on the bridge. He watches her closely hoping she doesn't notice him since they were facing each others direction
Reaching out her toes, Sera tried to dip them into the water and started flicking them, spraying droplets of water about. She kept humming while wondering when the next meeting for the rebellion would be held.
Kaleb edges closer until he trips on a log and tumbles over a small dip and into the water. He creates a big splash.
Sera startled out of her reverie at the loud splash in the lake. "What the--?" Curious, she got up and could just see a figure struggling in the water a little away from where the bridge was. "Oh crap, hold on!" she yelled and ran down the bridge and over to the riverbank.
Kaleb feels an under current pulling him as he reaches for plants and other items he can get his fingers around.
Kicking her shoes off, Sera jumped into the deep river and started making her way towards the boy, who'd been pulled further away from the riverbank. "Grab onto me!" she called out over the rush of the water and reached for him.
He reaches for anything as his head is pulled under.
Sera felt a strong arm grab onto her and she reached out to hang on to him. Using all her strength, she started dragging the boy back to the riverbank. When they got there, she swam to the part with the lowest edge and pulled the body in front of her, shoving him as hard as she could over the edge.
He lay motionless his lungs filled with water.
Sera heaved herself over the edge with surprising strength. Turning to the motionless figure, she started to panic. Crap, he needs CPR! she thought frantically and moved closer to him. Pressing both hands over where his heart was, she started pumping hard and counted, then she leaned over to his lips, pressing hers over it and pinched his nose shut, breathing hard into his mouth.
He coughs up water and stands up imidiately in shock. "What happened? What are you doing to me?"
With the boy revived, Sera breathed out a huge breath, relieved, and flopped back to lie down on the grass, ignoring his questions.
"Was I drowning?" He looks down at her and he becomes lost in her beauty.
Sera gave a feeble laugh, "Well, I wasn't groping or kiss-attacking you for no reason!" She shut her eyes to catch her breath, feeling her aching muscles.
"Uh...thanks." He says rubbing his neck.
Sera finally opened her eyes and sat up. Now that he was right in front of her, she let herself admire him. She'd seen him around before, but didn't know his name. His soaked dark hair clung to his head and he had high cheekbones that made Sera want to reach out and trail her fingers down his jaw. His eyes were dark as well and she found herself staring into them, cocking her head to the side.
He turns "I guess I...should"He doesn't know what he should be doing.
"You don't have to go," Sera said quickly, maybe he was freaked out by her staring. "I'm Seraphina, but everyone calls me Sera." she smiled tentatively at him, hoping he would stay.
"Oh I'm Kaleb." He stops and sits down beside her.
((kk, i gtg soon too))Sera relaxed, "Well Kaleb, you're very welcome for saving your life," she teased.
((back! but i gtg again in a while))" S'okay, I like to save people now and then, kinda keeps my life exciting," she joked. "What were you doing falling into the water anyway?" Sera grinned, asking.
((aww man k))"I didn't it do it on purpose." He flusters with anger.
((lol, dw, i'll be back, probs b gone for about an hour tops xD))Sera chuckled, dismissing his anger, "Duh, I didn't mean it like that. But seriously, are you alright?" her eyes and tone became concerned.
((yay I'll be on till at least 12:00))"Yah of course it happens alot when I hear beautiful music. I get mezmorizied." He downs his head and grins as he blushes Realizing what he said.
((wait, 12 ur time or mine? what time is it over where u are now?))Sera was confused for a while, then it struck her, "Wait, you don't mean...my humming, do you?" she asked, surprised, her cheeks reddening as a blush crept over her face.
((sry Nial, gotta dash, b back in ard an hour k? xD))
((whoo! back just in time! my hour's up xD lol. whoa that's early, u not sleeping? O.O))Sera stammered a bit, making excuses that her voice wasn't that nice to listen to. Suddenly she changed the subject, "So, er, are you a Moroi?"
((I haven't slept for three days. Where are you from))"Me no I'm a..dhampir." He downs his head hating the fact that he never new his parents completely.
((DUDE! what are you, insomniac? xD reporting from down under! :P u?))Sera's eyes widened, "That's awesome! You have a Moroi?--Hey, what's wrong? Being a Dhampir's not that bad." she tried cheering him up, noticing his sudden misery.
((Austrailia???No I just got off of alot of meds 3 months ago so I don't sleep much do to side effects. They used to make me tired.I had like 10 diff. meds.^__^))"It's not the fact of what I am it's just...nvermind. I don't have anyone." He sighs.
((the one and only xD LOL, ouch, must get pretty lonely ;P are u like, hyper now? :D))"Well, I'd take being a Dhampir any day over living my life as a Moroi, even one with elements" she frowned and looked out to the river.
((Just skittish abit. I don't eat much anymore and feel like I have a constant buzz...like a nicotine buzz or achahol buzz. It's crazy. I sleep more during the day.))"Really why?"
((haha, talk about vampiric qualities xD well, at least u don't feel depressed or anything and mope about :P THAT would be a nightmare))"Are you kidding? You guys learn to fight all day, plus I'm sick and tired of sitting back and letting everyone else fight for me," she protested, "I want to protect someone for once." her eyes flashed in annoyance.
((Thats what the meds were for I quit cause the made me have black outs and vicious mood swings. I get called a vamp alot))"Okay calm down." He feels a warm arua around her but not a very inviting one."It's not always fun being a dhampir even if you can't gaurd someone"
((yikes, sounds scary, but what were they for in the first place? lol))"Well, being a Moroi isn't all its cut out to be either," she sighed, losing her fire, the tension sliding out her shoulders, "Wanna trade?" she grinned weakly at him.
((Asthma, Allergies ,depression, and stress. They affected my eating habits and my sleeping habits giving my a sleep disorder where I have vivd dreams that make me wake up tired instead of rested. I constantly passed out in class and had black outs when I got mad. They had to go. Now I am always awake at night and sleepy in the day. My eyes are light sensative and my natrual tan is fading.lol))"I would love to." He says with a small smile.
((Jeez man, that's a LOT of side effects! O.O sure u didn't get bitten by a vamp instead? xD that sucks though D: i didn't know you get so mad and black out! wear sunnies!))Sera laughed softly, "I wish" she sighed and closed her eyes, and falling back down onto the grass.
((I'm pretty sure I didn't get bitten but I used to wake up with blood on my shoes and scratches on my legs. But it has been weeks since that happened last. What are Sunnies??? Well some aren't sideeffects it's just me and doctors tried to drug me to hell to make it stop.LOL))"Yah...So uh guess I should go now." He says feeling unsure about wanting to or not.
((ur serious about this aren't you? that would totally freak me out! Sunnies=short for sunglasses xD))Sera snapped her eyes open and looked over at him, confused, "You have some training you gotta go to?"
