~Jennifer~ (book_addiction) If you were told you could only pick and keep 5 books for the rest of your life, which books would make your list & why?

 Shellbelle | 1168 comments Mod
I can't answer that!!!!!!!!! I don't even know where to begin!lol Seriously though I have to give that some thought☺ (Good Question though)

message 3: by [deleted user] (new)

This is something that I'll have to ponder. Might take a few hours or days. LOL. I agree great question

~Jennifer~ (book_addiction) My first two books that I'm pretty sure about are:

A Taste of Blackberries by Doris Buchanan Smith - I remember reading this in the 2nd grade. It's the first book I can remember checking out of the library at school. It's also the book that kickstarted my absolute love of reading. In that way, I guess it changed my life.

Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes - This is another book that changed me in some way. It started me thinking about what I wanted to do with my life back when my life didn't involve a family of my own. It's an amazing book. If you haven't read it...plan to.

Still thinking about my other 3! Anyone else having any luck with their list?

message 5: by Tegan (new)

Tegan (therowdylibrarian) Ugh. I can't even say Harry Potter, since there are 7! This is so mean! lol. I have to think about it!

 Shellbelle | 1168 comments Mod
Tegan, I was just thinking that! How can I pick just one of my HP books!hahaha

The ones I know for sure...

The Trouble With Valentine's Day (Chinooks Hockey Team, #3) by Rachel Gibson The Trouble with Valentines Day by Rachel Gibson I love to re-read that book, and I have to have at least one Rachel Gibson book!

(here Jennifer is putting books that have had a profound affect on her life, and I'm adding romance novels!lol)

I would def have to have a Harry Potter book so maybe
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Harry Potter, #3) by J.K. Rowling or Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Harry Potter, #4) by J.K. Rowling those are my favorites, I love #7 too, but it makes me cry to much!lol Harry Potter is just one of those series that is a game changer, I still have never read anything like it, or quite as original, or captivating!

This is where the list gets tricky! I keep thinking of all the books I do re-reads of, but I just don't know!!!! Have to think more.

message 7: by Tegan (new)

Tegan (therowdylibrarian) Totally agree with Harry being a game changer! I agree on the 3rd of the 4th. The seventh one is great. Ugh. They're all so amazing! I would sneak the sixth and seventh books, no one will know I have more than five! lol.

I'm still thinking. It's hurting my head and I feel like I'm being mean to my books! I hope they still love me!

message 8: by Tegan (new)

Tegan (therowdylibrarian) Okay, thus far:

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Harry Potter, #4) by J.K. Rowling I love this book and it's long, so it would last me awhile! haha.

A Great and Terrible Beauty (Gemma Doyle, #1) by Libba Bray This trilogy is one of my favorites and I could re-read it over and over.

Her Fearful Symmetry by Audrey Niffenegger There is something about this book that I absolutely love and I would be really upset if I could never read it again.

The Tea Rose (The Tea Rose, #1) by Jennifer Donnelly Love this book. There's so much going on and I couldn't put it down. I always want to re-read it.

Wideacre (Wideacre, #1) by Philippa Gregory Apparently I have a thing for the first book in trilogies, haha, this is another one. It's great. My favorite out of the three and would be content just read it over and over.

Um...that's my list, for now, it is liable to change! haha.

lol You say that only because you don't know the other 3 I'm debating in my head. I'm having the hardest time choosing between Bones and Barrons. I mean...Chapter 32...holy hell that could get me through a few years on its own. lol But my dear sweet(ha!) Barrons in Dreamfever. Oy. You see my dilemma!

message 12: by Kelly Lynn (new)

Kelly Lynn (lemonpink418) | 189 comments Oh wow, this is a hard one!!

Okay, well first and foremost would be my favorite book growing up, I read it so many times the cover fell off, so S.E. Hinton's The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton

Next would be Kristan Harmel's How to Sleep with a Movie Star by Kristin Harmel

Then Kristin Higgan's Just One Of The Guys by Kristan Higgins

And I've got to get my sports love in here somewhere so I'll add See Jane Score (Chinooks Hockey Team, #2) by Rachel Gibson

And finally, Kate Angell's Squeeze Play (Richmond Rogues, #1) by Kate Angell .

This was way too hard!!

Hahaha! Now I don't feel so bad! I keep making list, and I want to add Jane Austen, but she keeps getting bumbed off by J.R. Ward and Kresley Cole. Shows you where my priorities are!lol

~Jennifer~ (book_addiction) My #3 is Magic Bleeds (Kate Daniels, #4) by Ilona Andrews . If I could find a compilation that included Magic Slays (Kate Daniels, #5) by Ilona Andrews I would be a happy camper. I ♥♥♥♥ Curran.

#4 is Turbulent Sea (Drake Sisters, #6) by Christine Feehan . Ilya Ilya Ilya.

Still stuck on my #5!

Shell, I thought the same thing when I posted those books... I've been trying to pick one book from my favorite authors.

I think number 4 is
City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments #1) by Cassandra Clare

not sure yet, I may have to change that:)
