I started watching The Aztecs, but it's like an hour and a half long...I'm about halfway done and it's pretty good!
For review and reference:
CLASSIC DOCTORS:
Doctor 1 (1963-1966): William Hartnell (all eps in B/W) - White Hair, dark or checkered slacks, vest, jacket and one of those string-type bow ties from the old west.
Doc 2 (1966-1969): Patrick Troughton (All eps in B/W) - Dark hair cut in "MOE" style. Oversized jacket and checked pants with suspenders and bow tie. Often called "Cosmic Hobo".
Doc 3 (1970 - 1974): Jon Pertwee (First to have Episodes in Color) - Tall Curly White Hair wore satin dinner jackets and shirts with ruffles. Often called "The Dandy". I think the first doctor to wear boots on occasion instead of just plain dress shoes.
Doc 4 (1974 -1981): Tom Baker - "All teeth and Curls" (Five Doctors reference) Tall with curly redish/brown hair known for the multi-coloured striped scarf. Usually wore a hat. Sometimes wore boots instead of regular shoes. Often voted the "Most Favorite" Doctor I think that maybe due to his having the longest run as the Doctor for 7 Seasons/years.
Doc 5 (1981 - 1984): Peter Davison - Tall Blonde wore cream colored slacks and jacket with white cricket sweater. Had a stalk of celery in his jacket collar (it was explained in one episode when he added it something about being an atmosphere indicator). Often wore a panama hat. First doctor to wear sneakers. He was 29 when cast making him the youngest actor to play the Doctor at the time (Matt Smith broke that record at age 27).
Doc 6 (1984 - 1986): Collin Baker - Curly Red hair Yellow pants, Patchwork jacket (5 or 6 different patterns) wore spats on his shoes. Came off as being rather arrogant. First Doctor Actor to appear on the show as a different character before then portraying the Doctor. His run of the Doctor was interrupted by writer strikes, which is why the last story "Trial of a Time Lord" is so weird and choppy.
Doc 7 (1987 - 1989): Sylvester McCoy - Mysterious. Probably the shortest actor to play the Doctor. Wore a hat, jacket and pants were sometimes dark sometimes white, wore a sweater with question marks all over it, carried an umbrella with a question mark for a handle. The umbrella was used as a very handy "weapon" or tool from time to time.
Doc 8 (1996) Paul McGann (Movie Doctor*) - Also had dark curly hair wore Victorian style clothes. The only enemy he met was The Master. I think there have been some audio adventures with him and of course there are some novels with the 8th Doctor that are exciting to read.
*In the 1960s there were 2 Doctor Who movies starring Peter Cushing as "Dr. Who" with The Daleks. "Doctor Who and The Daleks" 1965 used the same story as the first Dalek Story from 1963. "Daleks Invasion Earth: 2150 A.D." and uses the story "Daleks Invasion of Earth" from 1964. Since it was the '60s and in color there are Red and Blue Daleks along with some regular black or silver/gray Daleks.

Kenzie *Frankly, I'm the Absolute Dream* wrote: "Yesh, I have.Hmm...Do you think I'm taller than Sylvester? :)"
how tall are you cause he is pretty short!!!
i have no idea how tall i am either! Last year i was short for my age, then i grew a lot and now im slightly tall but pretty average...so about 5 foot 4....different system. Great. conversion thing says about 1.62 metres? ok. lets go with that. or 152.4 centimeters.
I am above average height for my age too! All the girls I know even my older sister I am taller than. I am under thirteen years and I am almost 5'5. I am almost taller than a girl that is turning 19, but she's short for her age, and I am tall for mine.
:) I told you; under 13 years and above 10. So I am NOT as young as 10. And I am NOT as old as 13. :)
That means you're 11 or 12! And my city is full of shirt people I guess...ar least my school. Average height for girls: 5 foot 2 to 5 foot 4 and for guys: 5 foot 3 to 5 foot 5...so I'm carriage. Then there's super short people at 5 feet and super tall almost to 6 feet
The angels have the phone box & Emma wrote: "hmmmm is it just me or are people getting shorter......"Maybe… I don't know, I'm pretty short for my age, like 4' 11" or so and I'm 13…
OK lets get a bit on track.
So who has seen "Pyramids of Mars" (Tom Baker Doctor 4)? Thoughts?
For me it is one of the best Classic Episodes and one of the best All-Time episodes. I didn't think so the first time I saw it, but from the second and third times on it has been on my "best of" list.
One of the things that had me hung up on it at first is that after one of the episodes they left in some narrator voice over that was intended for when they would show them as individual episodes. No other episode had left that part in. I think it was just some sloppy post editing work to get the episodes sent out. Now when I watch that part I try to ignore that little glitch.
