Colby (colbz) I have read all but three of the books listed, loved them all.
I think that Scorpia Rising (Alex Rider #9) by Anthony Horowitz Looking for Alaska by John Green Paper Towns by John Green It's Kind of a Funny Story by Ned Vizzini Glimpse by Carol Lynch Williams When God Was a Rabbit by Sarah Winman would all fit under this topic, too.

Thirteen Reasons Why because it deals well with a difficult topic and leaves you thinking.
Beautiful Creatures because it's so involved and stays with you when your done.
