Lauren | 251 comments Over the weekend, the Irish Times ran a piece about Irish authors. Paul Murray is only mentioned in passing, but I enjoyed reading it and comparing what this article says about the state of Irish fiction to what we read in Skippy Dies and thought some of you might enjoy it as well.

I've read quite a lot of Irish Fiction and Non-fiction over many years. Some of my favorite authors are: Patrick Taylor, Jacqueline O'Brien, Lyn Gallagher, Tom & Kevin Maguire, Jeffrey Archer, Ray Bradbury, Harold Bloom, Sean Connelly. These are the ones that just came to mind. I'm sure there are more. I must have some Irish genes in me some where...have too much love for the people, the country, and culture, not to belong somehow.
