Do you feel that the male characters were a little underdeveloped?

You didn't find the novel to have feminist undertones? Do you think it was an oversight not an intentional omission?
I didn't say it didn't have feminist slant, just that underdeveloped male characters do not really indicate a feminist piece. I do think it was probably just a weakness in the writing overall. She doesn't usually do male characters as well as female ones overall, which is I think where The Lacuna fails, since its main character is male.
