My vote is on Tasslehoff. Someone who almost never takes center stage, but somehow seems to influence events, Tass is awesome to me.

I really do like so many different characters for so many different reasons but I absolutely fell in love with Dalamar. There is so much to him that after reading all the books I have read I still don't feel like I know everything about him. I really like that dark mystery that he poses.
Well, maybe I won't sound very original here, but even if I enjoy many characters (and I can +1 the votes on Tasslehoff and Dalamar Argent) I have a preference for Raistlin. He's a complex character with so many faces that it's always a pleasure to learn more about him and the events that shaped his personality.
For some reason I really fell in love with Tolanthus from the Ergoth Trilogy....Among the main characters, I would have to say Tanis because of the depth of his character. He seems to be the everyman.. He is torn between ethnic and morale decisions, as most people are at some point in their lives.
Since I am boring..I will say Tanis! His inner conflict is very real to me. His inner struggle (perception as well as reality) to find acceptance in 2 worlds when he does not fully belong or feel accepted in either. The romance angles...to me this is the deepest charavter in the series.
Raistlin and Tanis are my favorite characters on the original series. I love Tanis's leadership despite his inner struggles. Raistlin is just Raistlin a very power archmage
