The Riyria Revelations discussion

Okay I know that was a big tease...the book is not releasd but it is now in Goodreads so you can add it to your shelf. Here it is.

Do we really have to wait until January? I don't know if I can last that long! Will there be an ebook version?

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet on here but Percepliquis (paperback) is now available for pre-order on Amazon.

I've been periodically checking for the eBook version, but no such luck yet.

The ebook version is now available for nook

The kindle version should be ready soon (I think it is has been "pushed" just not live yet.

BTW - Unlike other versions of the ebooks this will not be availalbe for direct order from Michael Orbit has complete rights to the ebook version (Michael does to the paperback) so any sales of the ebook will have to go directly through a channel.

If there is a format that you can't get from a channel (for instance ereader, kobo, or something like that - let me know and I'll see what I can do to make sure we can get you one somehow.

Robin ~ Will those of us who want a signed copy be able to get it? The rest of mine are signed, so it'd be nice to have the last one signed, too.

Yes, as soon as we are permitted to sell books there will be a way to buy them off of:

When buying through those venues you'll be able to indicate signed/unsigned and also if you want the books dedicated to someone.

The pre-order pages are now available for Percepliquis. There will be a "buy direct from the author" option for print books where you an get your book signed, but for ebooks you'll have to buy directly from Orbit. Here are the links:

I just pre-ordered the ebook on Amazon. It says the book will be wirelessly delivered to my kindle on January 31st, 2012. Only 160 days until I can read it.

I did not know eBooks were available through iTunes but I just checked and I see Percepliquis listed there as available for pre-order. Price and release data are the same as Amazon.

Yep...I tried to get an early release but it would screw up a bunch of things on Orbit's side. It won't be too long now. But....one thing that Orbit is doing is releasing parts of the book now via facebook.

Essentially how it works is...You "like" the riyria facebook page and you can read excerpts they've posted which includes:

- New intro section to the very start of the series - where we meet Royce/Hadrian for the first time.

- First chapter of Percepliquis - where some threads are resolved including one that has been running for several books.

As more people like the page, Orbit puts out a new chapter. Not sure how many they'll post total - we're playing it by ear. But tell your friends to like the page and we'll get more of Percepliquis released.

I'm also going to be offering the excerpts as ebooks for those that want them that way - just send me an email and format preference.

Is that new intro section going to be part of the printing of "Percepliquis"? Where exactly is that on the FB page - which link? Nothing I'm looking at seems to point to that new intro section.

Yes this copy is in the actual book to be released in January.

We made the first level (100 users) and so there is now chapters 1 and chapters 2 of percepliquis relased.

Has anyone raead the first chapter of Percepliquis? I'm dying to hear what you guys think.

No. I'm afraid that would just not be good. Wait. The chapter, I'm sure, is excellent. Me reading it before I have the rest of the book to continue on with is just a bad idea. It's hard enough waiting as it is! LOL
