Not really a debate but more like comparisons...what is everyone's comparison regarding them?

You may debate if you like however, I'm not going to stop you all :)

I agree with Cindy, that it's more developed in the books, especially in the latest trilogy. However, I do think it was set up much better in the TV show.

On TV, there's a real sense of friendship underlying everything else that goes on with them. In the books he just sort of swept in all dark and mysterious and seductive. He was immediately set up as Stefan's rival for her affections, without doing very much to earn them, other than wanting them, and being quite sexy. I like that the TV show gave them a better connection to start out with.

I wonder where it's going to go, though. In the last series of books I kept thinking they really should just get together already. I have never been convinced by Elena's love for Stefan. But in the TV show it seems as though there's more obstacles, which should keep the suspense going for a while.

Would anyone be awesome enough to list the books in order for me? Not just the first four but some of the others too. I really want to read them because im obbsessed with the show (DELENA!!!!!)
