Do you like Jane Austin books? Which are your favorites and what do you think about them?

I love them all, but I think my favorite is Persuasion. Captain Wentworth's letter is SO wonderful...

I love them all! My favourite's Pride and Prejudice, but they're all great.

I love Pride and Prejudice..Its the best..Though i own sense and sensibility,I haven't read it yet..

I read Pride and Prejudice long back, but can't recall the characters, would like to read again.

Pride and Prejudice is my top rating favorite but then Emma comes next then the other books are lower.

I feel like I'm the odd one out... I dislike most of the Jane Austen books! Sorry!

Katy, I'm with you. I've tried to like Austen but I can not force myself to even finish even 1 of her books.

I am reading Pride and Prejudice right now, and I have to say it is taken me a while to get into it and it is taking more to for me to read the book in genral.

I have read Pride & Prejudice & found it quite a good read. Am looking forward to reading Sense & Sensibility . Has anyone read it? how is it?

I've only watched the movie of Sense and Sensibility, but i loved it. Soon I'll read the book. I heard that the book is pretty good.

I read Pride and Prejudice at the age of 12 or so....I was a much more voracious reader then, and I got the book after rooting through my mother's books. I remember not understanding it at first, but plodding on to finish it. After that I must have read it like 3-4 times. This is one book which I may read again and again.
Read Northanger Abbey - but it was much more serious and sarcastic towards the then community norms of dating and ball dancing and keeping up appearances which all Victorian females were subjected to

I guess Pride and Prejudice is the only book everyone has read. including me. I lost patience after reading a few pages of Emma. Tried Northanger Abbey and Sense and Sensibility too.In short I tried to like Jane Austen.. But couldn't.

So Pride and Prejudice is her best book and the other ones are to slow?

I remember loving her Emma and Sense & Sensibility, too. But Northanger Abbey was insipid.

I like Jane Austen's books very much. Pride and prejudice is my favorite. Sense and sensibility is also very good

i kind of like Jane Austen books....actually, to be honest, the only reason I like Jane Austen is because she's written Pride and Prejudice. Gosh! That's such a wonderful book.....really love it.

On the other hand, her other books such as Sense and Sensibility, Persuasion....failed to impress me. Persuasion was still good but nothing to match the standards of P&P. I even read Emma - hated it. hated the story, the characters.....didn;t like anything in the book.
