Gwennie (blessedwannab) Like to the poll:
http://www.goodreads.com/poll/show/52...

Like usual, I'll take the first 15 book nominations before creating the voting poll. Here are our guidelines.

1. The book has to be in that months genre selection.
2. If nominating a book in a series, it must be the first book in the series.
3. Each person can only nominate one book.
4. The book has to be available in print as well as ebook.

Let nominations commence!

Brette (brettemaeve13) The Darkest Hour (KGI, #1) by Maya Banks ... I vote for this one!

message 9: by Leea (new)

Leea I know, Regina has sold me on this series but I want to finish a few series before starting it :)

message 10: by Dianne (new)

Dianne (des03) | 30 comments The Survivors by Sharon Sala/Dinah McCall - I loved this book!

Tina "IRead2Escape" (tinar1121) I am so excited about this one. I don't read a lot of romantic suspense. Can't wait to see what the pic is.

message 12: by Elke (new)

Elke (ejurca) I nominate.... Killing Me Softly (Secrets of Shadow Falls, #1) by Maggie Shayne !!

Tina "IRead2Escape" (tinar1121) I have been doing some research. How about Giving Chase (Chase Brothers, #1) by Lauren Dane by Lauren Dane? Looks good. I can't vouch for it personally, but would love to read it.

message 14: by D.G. (new)

D.G. I'd love to read the Unsung Hero too.

I'll nominate my favorite RS series: Extreme Exposure (I-Team, #1) by Pamela Clare

message 15: by Susinok (new)

Susinok I've read most of the books recommended here already. I have not read Maggie Shayne or Pamela Claire. I'd love to try Extreme Exposure. It's been on my wishlist for a while now.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I've heard a lot of good things about I-team.

message 17: by Leea (new)

Leea I've heard those are great! Pamela Clare is a great Author and I've only read her Historical Romance novels.

message 18: by Laura (new)

Laura | 131 comments Dying to read Pamela Clare! Have never read her before but heard she is so great!

message 19: by Marcella (new)

Marcella (marcella6) | 886 comments This genre is fairly new to me. After some research I nominate The First Victim by J.B. Lynn .

message 20: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) We're at 10 nominations so far here. I'll accept up to 5 more, but if I dont' get all of them I'm still stopping nominations when I get home from work tomorrow.

message 21: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) 10 books, and Nominations are closed.

I'm going to the movies in a bit, and have some family plans, but I'll get the polls up this evening.

Gwennie (blessedwannab) Our winner for September is Extreme Exposure (I-Team, #1)!

Extreme Exposure (I-Team, #1) by Pamela Clare

Thank you everyone for voting.

message 26: by Leea (new)

Leea Yes!!!! Can you tell how excited I am to read this beauty. I hear it's a great series and hot hot hot!

Thanks again Wendy for doing all the hard work.

message 27: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 337 comments Yay! I really want to read this book. It sounds hot!

message 28: by Susinok (new)

Susinok Awesome! One that I have not read yet. Looking forward to it.

message 29: by Marcella (new)

Marcella (marcella6) | 886 comments Damn it! This kind of bums me out. I want to read this book but not as a group read because I will have to read the whole series and we will not be doing that. I suppose I could read the rest of the series on my own but where is the fun in that? :-(

message 30: by Leea (new)

Leea I'm going to read the whole series, I have them all lined up. I figured once I read one i'll just have to read the next and next.

message 31: by Marcella (new)

Marcella (marcella6) | 886 comments Ok I am glad I won't be the only one. Where did you get the books from?

message 32: by Leea (new)

Leea I got them from BN.com

I bet others will join us, plus Regina and D.G love the series so they will chime in for sure.

message 33: by Marcella (new)

Marcella (marcella6) | 886 comments I will check it out there. Were you able to find the whole series on there? BN is famous for not having a full series available.

message 34: by Leea (new)

Leea They have them all, I got them awhile back.

message 35: by Marcella (new)

Marcella (marcella6) | 886 comments That's great news. It is frustrating when buying books for the Nook and the series is not complete. IT means I have to go hunting for it.

message 36: by Leea (new)

Leea Ugh, I know. Some of Pamela Clares older books aren't in eboook yet but will be soon.

message 37: by Marcella (new)

Marcella (marcella6) | 886 comments It just doesn't make sense to me why BN wouldn't have a complete series. There have been times when I found book 1 and 3 of a series but they didn't have book 2. Does that make sense to anyone because it sure as hell doesn't make sense to me.

message 38: by D.G. (new)

D.G. Glad to see you gals so excited! :)

Like Regina, I have problems with Romantic Suspense - I'm a mystery reader and I find the suspense plots to be a bit on the ridiculous side - but the I-Team series is incredibly well researched. The author was a journalist in a previous life and the plots are based on real-life investigations she (or her newspaper I believe) had to deal with.

Another good thing about the series is that the plots tend to develop during weeks and months. In most RS, you have a couple on the run for a few days with bad guys shooting them left and right and always I find it hard to believe they have a HEA after that. But in this series time passes, so you get the feeling that they really get to know each other.

message 39: by Susinok (new)

Susinok Marcella wrote: "Damn it! This kind of bums me out. I want to read this book but not as a group read because I will have to read the whole series and we will not be doing that. I suppose I could read the rest of..."

If the first one is good, I'll probably read the rest of the series right then and there. I tend to do that with series books.

message 40: by Marcella (new)

Marcella (marcella6) | 886 comments I am the type of person that has to read a series once I start. I have not done that in the past and I don't like it.

message 41: by Laura (new)

Laura | 131 comments I have to read the whole thing too! Unless I just realy don't like the first book, I can't wait to read this one! I have been wanting to read Pamela Clare for so long!

message 42: by Marcella (new)

Marcella (marcella6) | 886 comments Even if I don't like the first book I have to read the series. Hello OCD!

message 43: by Leea (new)

Leea Haha Marcella, I'm kind of the same way... Well once we are done with #1 and some of us want to keep going we'll start a thread to talk all about it. So excited to start this book.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I must be the odd one out. I'm really bad at reading any series back to back. I always have other stuff I have to get to for challenges, group reads, buddy reads, etc. There's only been maybe 3 series I can think of that I read back to back, and they were all shorter series.

message 45: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 337 comments I don't really read whole series. The Mercy Thompson series I don't think I will continue and I'm already reading another book after I read the first book in the Fever series but I will get the second book for sure.

message 46: by Laura (new)

Laura | 131 comments I just got number one, will get the rest so that I can read along with you guys Leea, let me know what thread you are discussing on later on!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I stalled out on Mercy after book 3. I keep promising a friend that I'll continue but I can't seem to motivate myself. Maybe someday.

message 48: by Leea (new)

Leea I will let you know for sure... Let's read book 1 first and then we will see.

message 49: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I'm pretty bad about reading a series back to back unless I really love it. Like I read books 2 through the end of BDB back to back. I read most of the Fever series back to back, and Georgina (I'm caught up AMY!). But others, I just read them occasionally.

message 50: by Kesha (new)

Kesha | 23 comments I have to read the whole series...it's a compulsion :)
