Richard III discussion

Would it be easy for a young person new to Richard III studies to read Lion Invinciblewithout reading the first two books in the trilogy?

Boy, that is tough especially since I'm not around the younger set much. There really isn't much sex to worry about, so worst that could happen is he/she didn't care for it and stops.
