About to start my first one, When The Devil Holds The Candle. What I was looking for was a list of the books in the series in chronological order, and some ideas how much sense the books make out of order... So anyone more familiar with the series, input is welcome. :)
Just read Bad Intentions-not really much mystery but great characters and disturbing atmosphere. I really liked it.

The first one that has been translated is Don't Look Back. I suppose you could read the books out of order, but Fossum is pretty character driven and her character Ins. Sejer is a pretty complex guy.
Hi Naomi et al.,I've finished the entire Inspector Sejer series now that the first one, In the Darkness, has finally been published (forthcoming in US as Eva's Eye). I've recently wrote a feature article on Crime Fiction Lover about Fossum and the Inspector Sejer series with capsule summaries of all ten of the books, so I wanted to share with you since we've chatted about Fossum in the past. Best, Jeremy http://bit.ly/12lNNYO
What an awesome article! Do you know if she has any more upcoming other than the first in series? Also..when is Eva's Eye coming?

I grabbed Eva's Eye. Thanks for the heads up. I probably would have missed it.
My library finally got a copy of Eva's Eye in - it was just sitting there all nice and pretty on the new releases shelf - so I grabbed it - looking forward to starting it in September (have it slotted into a reading challenge)
She has one that I need to check out. I am trying to determine the availability. Plus, I noticed that it is getting panned and not sure why.

I would try to read them in order as others have stated Inspector Sejer does have a story line that goes in Chronological order. I began with Don't Look Back, have read everything up to Black Seconds which I just finished a couple weeks ago. I will get Eva's Eye just to complete the set. I always enjoy her books and will read the entire series. Keep us updated on your progress:)
i didn't really see anyone pan it per say...just the one liner about not being in love with it - unless there i something i'm not seeing

They're worth reading in order, now that all but one are finally translated. There's a list in chronological order w/ capsule reviews here
Hi Naomi,
The latest, non-Sejer book is all I know about, but I haven't read it. Still waiting for them to translate the Death of Harriet Krohn (inspector Sejer # 7). Karin doesn't seem to be big on social media so we don't have much info.
Naomi wrote: "That is the one that I have been seeing panned. It's availability is also very confusing."I'll say, and you'll find no answers here. GR's general inability to manage bibliographic and publication metadata is confounding considering it's a book-oriented site.
I had a chance to watch the movie THE GIRL BY THE LAKE (ITALIAN)last night. It is based on KF's book Don't Look Back. It was actually a very good movie. I grabbed it off Netflix.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Girl...
Karin has a new book coming out in November(I believe). The Murder of Harriet Krohn. I have pre-ordered it, of course!
