Joseph (bluemanticore) | 216 comments I just finished reading The Mammoth Book of Paranormal Romance and discovered a whole lot of pretty good PNR authors I never knew about. Almost too many, so could someone suggest to me, choosing from this list, what would be a good read and by who? I prefer Urban Fantasy series over individual titles and pure fantasy. Thanks.

Cheyenne McCray
Anna Windsor
Jean Johnson
C.T. Adams

Eve Silver
Ilona Andrews
Dina James
Maria V. Snyder
Catherine Mulvany

Jessa ♥ EvilDarkSide (metalgirl80) Jeaniene Frost needs to be first on that list!! Her Night Huntress series rocks! You will fall in love with Bones and Cat is a kickass heroine!

EDIT
Sorry, if your a girl then you'll fall in love with Bones. I just realized a guy started this post, LOL

Shelly (mashbay) Andrews and Frost, no doubt.

message 4: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) Frost, Brook and James

I've only read the first two Cat/Bones but loving them
Brook is steampunk = the second book is due out in the near future and James have a good native american theme running through

Kate (fictionalkate) | 77 comments The Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews.

I'm currently reading the first one and am liking it a lot. It's UF. :)

Lisa M (lamessegee) | 248 comments If you're into UF, then--as everyone says--start with Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress Series. The first book is Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress, #1) by Jeaniene Frost .

If you like PNR, I enjoy the Warriors of Poseidon Series by Alyssa Day. The first book is Atlantis Rising (Warriors of Poseidon, #1) by Alyssa Day .

La La | 245 comments Cheyenne McCray- she has quite a few series out. I love her Lexi Steele series (these books are romantic suspense)

Anna Windsor is good- She has a 6 book witches series that at times remind me of Charmed, but a little sexier

Jeaniene Frost - I just started reading the Night Huntress series and love it.

I haven't read the others, but I think you should give them a try. I'm sure many on that list have great series.

Susinok I highly recommend these:

Eve Silver
Ilona Andrews
Jeaniene Frost
Allyson James

I haven't read the others.

Lauren (laurenjberman) I just finished Chosen Prey by Cheyenne McCray by Cheyenne McCray. It is romantic suspense but it is really good. She also has a paranormal series. The first book is Forbidden Magic (Magic Series, #1) by Cheyenne McCray .

message 13: by La La (new)

La La | 245 comments She also have the Night Tracker series that start out with Vampires Not Invited (Night Tracker #3) by Cheyenne McCray . I love Cheyenne McCray books.

message 14: by wordgirl (new)

wordgirl Definitely Andrews & Frost!

Mlpmom (Book Reviewer) (mlpmombookreviewer) | 839 comments I agree that Andrews and Frost are probably the nest ones on the list, or at least from what I have read but I have heard great things about Synder's Poison series and Putney has a cute YA series like I liked.

message 16: by Missyb (new)

Missyb | 493 comments Kismet Knight by Lynda Hilburn. the main character is a shrink and ends up being a shrink for vampires, vampire wannabees, and humans. sarcastic humor, also has witches in it.

Night Huntress by Frost - plenty of action, great characters. Vamps, witches, ghouls, shifters, ghosts.

Night Huntress World by Frost - a little less action then the original series

Immortality Bites by Rowen - may be a bit girly romantic, but funny & does have some action

Warriors of Poseidon by Alyssa Day. Great characters, funny, vamps, witches, & shifters.

Night Tracker by McCray is on my to read list. They look funny, the titles looked funny so I picked them up.

Shannon Dermott (shannondermott) Jeaniene Frost would be my suggestion. Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress 1) by Jeaniene Frost
