Feel free to post your own tricks of the trade here!
Listen to the way people talk. Nothing drives me crazier than choppy dialogue that dosen't soud real. Seriously, just sit down and listen to the way people talk. Catch phrases people use in the area you live in and their style of speech. It'll add a ton to your story. :D
