There's a great game that's caught on in the BC site under RABCKs.
It's the Tag Game!
The rules are posted but basically you tag the last person with a book from their WL which makes you the last person and someone comes along and tags you :)
It's slowing down a bit atm because we've all tagged each other with what we have, so we need some new blood.
TBRs are acceptable too.

Great game, isn't it. Lots of books I wouldn't have read for month or years, are now read and thus more movement on my bookshelf. This game has turned into an addiction for me.

I had a go, I've tagged twice so far. I can see it's addictive. I kept looking to see if I'd been tagged. It's very fast moving.

Hi Folks :)

I'm curious to know what your experience has been with the tag game. Do you send & receive books regularly? What sort of turnaround have you been experiencing?

You can play as often or as little as you wish - you can pick & choose what parts of the world you are prepared to send too. Just look to see who is top on the list to be tagged then look @ their wishlist. If you have a book on their wishlist that you want to part with then go back & tag them... Now it is your turn to be next in line to be tagged... It helps to have quite a few (varied) books on your wishlist.
And yes, it can get addictive (but fun).

I have pulled back a lot as my WL seems to be hard to fill - or it's the distance posting, who knows? Anyway, I've started a second thread to try and keep things moving but it still tends to get stuck on certain people.
We need lots of new people to come along and keep new books flowing in!
Basically, though, it's a brilliant idea, and great fun :)

I recognise you both from the game!
The reason I asked is simply because I am yet to receive books promised... I guess that I am checking-in to see if your experience has been positive? I was starting to wonder if it was a virtual tag LOL

I expect the books you've been promised are still tbr. Quite a few people offer tbr books and then bump them to the top.
I still have a copy of Cutting for Stone that is taking me an eternity to finish and that is promised to someone in the Tag Game - it'll get there in the end!
Also, books from Dubai to US generally take around 7 weeks - goodness knows where they lurk all that time!!

Okay, I'll chill out a little. I know that it takes a while to go through the postal system here in Abu Dhabi as well. Same-same I guess ;)

I second DubaiReaders comment that many books promised will be read first. I do always post this though so that the recipient knows roughly the time-frame for getting said book... If in doubt you could always politely email the person & ask..
