This is the thread for September's Monthly Read nominations. As usual, there will be one nomination per member and the monthly read is open to every genre.

Nominations are open until midnight on Monday, Irish time. The poll will then be opened for your votes the following day.

I look forward to your nominations.

Declan.

I’m suspicious.

New York Review Books is the publisher, and I’m sure they nominated this book last month.

Is this classed as Spamming?

Fionna I would like to nominate The Story of Lucy Gault by William Trevor.

I've yet to read any of his books (shame on me), I have this one as an audiobook, and I want to share the experience with ye all.

I would like to second this nomination. I read this book awhile back. William Trevor is on of my favorite contemporary Irish writers.
