so as an emo, i luv reading emo-ish books. 4 my emo buddies i have some reccomendations...but i too need some... got milk? umm...sorry, i meant GOT GOOD EMO BOOKS???

if you can read adult books. This one is very adult, but it has what you're looking for, I think.

Oh, and I can't believe I forgot...you need to check out Melvin Burgess. Especially Smack/Junk (title depends on your country), and Sara's Face. Both for mature YA. Smack is about drug addicts, Sara's Face is...hard to describe.

Also, a must-must read, Go Ask Alice.

You'd probably enjoy The Bitch Posse by Martha O'Conner. It's a very adult book, so "viewer discretion is advised."
Also I think you should refrain from labeling everything EMO.

haha yeah I think the word "real" would suit better.

um, yeah, for me emo is emotional and deep from the soul, so its not that im labeling. and no, im not labeling everything EMO.

I dont know if Melvin Burgess is Emo, but his books are def. dark and twisted. Esp. Smack. I'm surprised you couldn't get into one of his books--I always find myself staying up all night b/c i can't put them down. There are somewhat horrifying, though, esp. that one.
