If I had to choose one, I mean if I really really had to choose ONLY one book, it would be David Copperfield by Charles Dickens. The most beautiful book I've ever read.
I have to say To Kill a Mockingbird. Atticus Finch is a man I admire. I know he is fiction, but I'd still like to meet him.
I have read some good books since I suggested Shadow of the Wind was my favourite book in my earlier post of Aug 2011, and I have to say, it's still my favourite. Which book stands the test of time for you?
That is a really hard question. I have so many favorites but if I had to pick just one The Pillars of the Earth

I just love all Anita Shreve books, predominantly "Fortunes Rocks". I also like Rosamunde Pilcher books. "The Shell Seekers" was my favorite Pilcher novel. I also enjoy Peter Rock. Rock's "My Abandonment" was the BEST!
Bit of a difficult choice - I've read and enjoyed so many (I'm 63), but I think if I was at gunpoint to make a choice it would be.....
Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell
