We'll sort that next week, Willie.Oh unless the proxy shows from London...
Phone calls go through a London number...will be interesting to see.
You can feed them by clicking your mouse! My internet has been off all week ! i have been blog free - it`s been a terrible time !

My laptop won`t recognise my dongle ! I am on an old pc now ... i feel like a caveman, it`s certainly cramping my style...:0)
Aw there's your problem, Willie. Take the funny nose and glasses off your dongle. No wonder your laptop doesn't recognise it!
I hope you've not left your dongle dangling! If any one would have trouble with their dongle it had to be Willie...lol.
;0)
Shhh Gingerlily, perhaps he won't notice we're in his thread...don't want him to go tittle tattling to Simon and get us barred!
No I can't do that to poor Willie...this is his only refuge from us...or so he thinks. Also I don't think my short fat hairy legs will distract him for long.
Willie, where are you anyway?...come out and defend your territory!

Some of us are out at work all day paying for this recession !...I hope my 10p tax that i pay everyweek is helping !

I wish I could go to work Willie, but thanks to this recession I've been made redundant twice and my circumstances have taken it's toll on my health.I very rarely leave my flat and my computer has been my link to the outside world which at the moment I can't face.
I laugh and joke on here as it's a lot better than crying and you lot really cheer me up. You lot do me better than all the pills I have to take!
I'm really glad I joined this group and love the banter we have. Please don't stop Willie.

blimey... and i thought i had me troubles with two dodgy computers and a wonky dongle.Joking aside i spent most of last year in a metal fug, drowning in dark emotions that chewed at me 24 hours a day. Retreating from people after my time at work i found great solace in spending time on amazon forum. I was quite happy losing myself in the endless loop of newbie questions that appeared constantly. It gave me time to rebuild the bits of me that felt broken,
Have you ever read the 'Life is just ace' thread on amazoo? it is lovely.

amazing how many people with major problems find comfort and enjoyment in places like this. I think its wonderful. I remember someone asking what I would want said about me at my funeral and what I came up with is that I want to make peoples lives just a little bit better by having been there. And it seems like that happens when I least expect it and am just having fun myself. Long may it continue!
Thanks Willie, I'll go and look at that thread. In a way this group is like a therapy for me...it's a way of escape from 'real' life, which isn't going well right now, but shows me there's still life out there and I love listening to what other people get up to.
I know I'll be back to 'normal' one day, but unfortunately for you Willie I'm still going to be a pain in the @rse. ;0)
Oh, and Gingerlily you do make my life better...I love the banter we have...thanks.

Vanessa, we're all rooting for you.
Thanks Susan, the people are really great in this group. You only have to talk to them for a while and for that time you can put your problems behind you.
Patti (P E) wrote: "Spider's got it right. 'shared sorrow is lessened, shared joy is increased'"Absolutely!
This is a great group. There is always someone here to 'talk' to. When my husband died (some years ago now, and I have a new partner) friends were really supportive, but they weren't there at 11 at night.
Laughter is the best medicine there is, no matter how bad you feel or how much pain there is a laugh & a chat with friends does you more good than any thing a Dr can give you.It is always so nice to know that friends are always there, doesn't matter if they are on here or just around the corner. Thanks to you all on here for brightening my days.
I'm rooting for you too Vanessa!
I'm still catching up with the thread so have only just read this. So sorry to hear about your difficulties Vanessa but glad that bantering on here helps you! I've suffered from depression for about ten years now - obviously I am on medication and have learned how to cope with and live with the condition. There is a lot more understanding out there about the illness than there used to be. If you ever want to private message me about anything, please feel free. xx
Think I just found my happy place! What a fantastic bunch of people here.
I'm always open for PMs as well, of course.
Thanks to everyone for your support. There are so many types of depression. Mine stems from my personal circumstances such as redundancy resulting in I'm now about to have my flat repossesed and not knowing what's going to happen to me or where I'm going to live. The council don't want to know until you're actually homeless.
I've tried my best to find work but I've got to work at least 30 hours but there are very few jobs out there offering that and the rejection letters just get to you.
I've got pills to 'lift my mood' but they're not going to cure my problems. I've got the jobcentre and doctor saying I'm not fit to look for work and the ESA saying I am so just adding a bit more stress. I've got to go to court to sort it out but I don't know when.
Anyway enough doom and gloom, I want to talk about happy things!
Willie I'm really sorry that I've hijacked your thread.
;0)
Good grief,Vanessa, you're having a terrible time, no wonder you're depressed. There's nothing any of us can say to sympathise that will make you feel better. I do admire the way you are holding your head above water, and enjoying this site. Have a laugh (well, smile) at all the banter, and feel the vibes of goodwill we all send you.
Well, I've got it off my cheast now so want to be my usuall sarky, vulgar, annoying self on here...much to Willie's disgust...sorry Willie, I'm going to shut up now on your thread!;0)
Maybe you need to start your own naughty banter thread - we'll do our Mae West to spice it up for you!
