Yea so happy about this as I've had this on my Kindle for aaages and still not gotten round to reading it.
And I finished it. 4 stars. Really enjoyed this one, as it's a step out of my usual. Here are my thoughts without spoilers:This was a wild ride, taking me places I've never been before. I found Gabriel, our hero, strong, sexy and above all, adorable (as in slightly awkward). I felt that way about him from his interaction in the beginning with the girl on the boat and it didn't differ throughout. Thalia was take-charge, yet vulnerable. A lovely combination. All the fighting, magic and romance was worth the read!
The whole series is great, Heather! I only found the second book in the series to be slightly weaker than the rest.
I just started and like it so far even though it is taking me a little time to get into it. I haven't gotten to the "can't put it down" point that I usually get to with books.
Finished - 4 StarsStarted off slow but picked up and was ultimately action packed. I really enjoyed the historical and geographical setting, and Thalia and Gabriel are a great couple. Each has just the right amount of strength and vulnerability.
I loved it. It's like a Indy Jones crossed with Lara Croft. I really enjoyed the book -- can't wait to read the next one.

Theme is historical warrior.
Enjoy!
