Diane wrote: "Post any books set in Argentina here."Diane: I have a new series of mystery novels set in South America. The second book The Ambivalent Corpse is set in Montevideo, Uruguay, Southwest Brazil, and Iguazu Falls in Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina. I think it's a better mystery novel so would recommend it for being more fun to read and giving you three countries for the price of one. The first book in this series The Empanada Affair is set in the city and province of Salta in Northwest Argentina (note: adult content). The third book, "The Surreal Killer" should be published in a few months, and will take our readers to Peru (including Machu Picchu) and to Northern Chile's Atacama Desert.

The Penguin Lessons by Tom Michell"I’m reading this right now and am highly enjoying it!
Maybe Mirta Ines Trupp best work yet! Celestial Persuasion begins in England but unfolds in Argentina (in the Viceroyalty of Rio de la Plata to be exact.) I was captivated by the 4th Earl of Fife, Mariquita Sanchez de Thompson, and of course Jose de San Martin. I had no idea the English played such an important part in the founding of this new nation. I LOVE how the author incorporates Jewish characters and Jane Austen in her work. This is a Must Read for all novel readers who enjoy going to new countries and meeting diverse and unique protagonists.
