Kai sat looking down at the table, her fingers tracing shapes.

Delilah didnt like the school. She reached over and grabbed her brothers arm as they entered the school office for their scheduals. She wanted to say something to him, but she knew how mad he was at the change.

Dayton glanced down at his sister, she looked sick to her stomach. He let her grab his arm and didnt say anything, she wouldnt want ot hear what he had to say anyways.

Kai looked up from the desk she was sitting at with a big smile at the two. "Hello, welcome to Burger King, my I take your order?'

"Day we arent at Burger King," Delilah muttered quietly.

"I know," Dayton muttered back. He smiled brightly at Kai. "We're actually waiting for someone, we might get something later though."

Delilah watched the girl a little bit longer before leaning into Dayton. "I dont like it here."

Kai nodded and twisted a little bit, talking to the air.
A woman with her hair pulled back came into room from another door, "Hello," She said, "You're Delilah and Dayton, yes?"

"Yes," Dayton said to the woman, he smiled lightly. "We need to get our scheduals."

The woman nodded and went behind the desk Kai was sitting at, "Did you welcome out new students, sweetie?"
Kai nodded, "They're waiting for someone... they don't want to order anything."
The woman patted Kai's head, "You're going to be late for class, you know. Why don't you show the new student's around?"

"That would be wonderful," Dayton said cheerfully. Delilah glanced at the woman to the girl to her brother. She didnt say anything.

Kai took the papers from the woman and smiled, "You have my first class. I know a shortcut!"

"Yay," Delilah said weakly. Her dark hair fell across her shoulder and she kept behind Dayton as they followed the girl.

Kai gave them both their schedules and grabbed their hand's pulling them down the hall.

"Ok," Delilah siad, fairly loudly, which was an odd thing for her to do. She looked to her brother for help.

"I'm Dayton, and this is my sister Delilah," Dayton said ignoring Delilah. "What's yours?"

"I'm Kai... but mean people don't call me that, but you're not mean. I know." She flashed them a smile and turned the corner.

"Nice to meet you Kai," Dayton said with a small laugh.

Kai nodded as she stopped outside a room, "Through here is the quickest way."

"Thanks," Delilah whispered she glanced over her shoulder at her brother and Kai.

Kai opened the door to a boiler room, "Come on! Bell's gonna ring!"

"Umm, Im not sure this is the classroom," Dayton said politly.

"We're going to be killed by a serial killer," Delilah hissed in her brothers ear. She edged back to the door.

Ki rolled her eyes, "Of course it isn't, it's a short cut, our class is on the other side of the building, it'll take forever to get there. We have to use the tunnels."

"Of, course," Dayton said pulling Delilah along. In quieter tones he said, "Del be nice."

"Excuse me for not wanting to die." she whispered.

"It seems she has a little bit of a mental issue that she cant help, knock it off," Dayton muttered.

Delilah scowled, ever since their last school they always dissagreed and fought. She had the haunting feeling Dayton was doing it all on purpose.

Kai lead them through the room and to another door. She took a flash light out of her pack and flicked it on. "The key is looking for the loopholes, ya know?" She said, walking into the darkness, "I've read all the rules over and it says nothing about the tunnels, we can't get in trouble, if that's what you're worried about."

"Everything is fine," Dayton said pulling his backpack strap up o nhis shoulder.

A moment later they got to a latter, "Here we go."

"This is great," Dayton said, "Del? Why don't you go first?"

Delilah muttered under her breath and stepped up to the ladder.

Kai grinned over at them and shined the light up.

Delilah opened and closed her mouth several times before she started to climb. This is crazy, absolutly crazy. New student and things are going down hill.

The latter ended at a set of stairs, and Kai came up behind her.

Delilah gave a weak smile and watched as Dayton climbed up. He stood and ran a hand through his hair.

Kai puinted to a door down the stairs, "We're here"

"Thanks," Delilah muttered bee-lining to the door.

"We really appretiate the help," Dayton smiled at Kai. He followed his sister to the door and into the hallway.

Kai went after them, stuffing her flashlight into her bag, and pulling out a folder. There were two other doors in the hall and Kai lead them to the first one. "We have 30 seconds till the bell rings."

"Well, It looks like we made it on time," Dayton said pulling open the class room door.

There were 6 other people already in the room, reading. Kai walked in and sat down at one of the free desks.
