Lance walked through the gardens, enjoying the breeze

Ginny stumbled through the entrance of the garden, her long red hair tangling on her belt. She looked down sighing, running her fingers throw the knots slowly releasing strands from her waist. She didn't think anyone else was there as she kept walking, eyes on the flowers around her.

Lance looked up, noticing her. He grinned, "Hey."

Ginny was startled by a voice behind her "Hey."

She turned quickly blushing. "Hi" she replied softly, to shy to talk any louder.

"I'm Lance." he grinned casually, holding out his hand

She stared at his hand for a second, not sure what to do. Then Ginny realized he wanted to shake her hand, duh. She took his hand in hers, "Ginny."

Lance grinned, noticing her pause but not too worried about it. "So you come here often?"

Ginny nodded, returning his smile hesitantly. "Everyday"
She loved the garden, all the plants were beautiful.

Lance smiled, "I've never actually been here before. Usually I'm in the Town or something"

Ginny twisted her face in mock horror "The first time in the garden!" Her lips fighting a smile.

Lance laughed, "I know! Shocker! Manly guy that I am why wouldn't I go to the garden?"

"You should come here more often...It's nice if you know where to go" Ginny nodded towards the maze. It was twice as tall as she, with its vine's curling around the leaves of hedges.

Lance looked at it and whistled low. "Wow. That's a big maze! Wanna go?"

Ha. This should be fun. "Sure, wanna race?" said Ginny her eyes sparkling with the challenge.

Lance smiled, "I'm totally loosing this, but yeah!"

"3,2,1. GO!" Ginny raced towards the maze laughing. She felt the earth beneath her feet changing, as she willed it too.
The vines started moving out of her way, slipping under the bushes, then slithering back before Lance came across them. Ginny looked back at his bewildered face, she beamed and kept running. She was a lot less shy when there was competition involved.

Ginny had been through the maze so many times she knew the way automatically. Even without mother natures helping hand. She picked up speed, moving even faster.

Lance tried to keep up with her, but the vines got in the way. He was gaining, but not by much

Ginny looked back at Lance and tried not to laugh. He was having trouble with the vines, though he was a fast runner. Ginny cut a sharp corner and started climbing the nearest hedge with no trouble. Quickly dropping over the side right behind Lance.
Ginny tapped his shoulder. "Hello!" she said tauntingly, smirking at the shocked look on his face when he turned.

Lance was shocked, but he wasn't about to be pinned down by a girl. Heat flared up his arm, burning her hands enough to make her pull away

Ginny was momentarily paralyzed. She didn't like fire. Suddenly she was a bit annoyed. "Oh. So that's how it's going to be?"
She imagined vines crawling over his feet encasing his legs, when she opened her eyes. That was exactly what she saw. Ginny laughed again, her eyes glowing green.
She scaled the hedge faster then she had before pausing at top, she looked down at him, "Now, it's a race."

Lance grinned, destroying the vines with fire and turning into a large dark bird. The Raven flew after Ginny

Ginny had been so concentrated on the earth that at first she didn't even noticed the bird above her. For some reason it made her uncomfortable. Like it was following her.

She materialized a hole in the ground, deep and pitch black. Ginny dropped into the hole, her green eyes illuminating the hole. She concentrated for a second and the hole became a tunnel. She was soundless as she closed the hole above her, the Raven circling ten feet above. She started running again. This time slower, taking in her surroundings.

Lance, as a bird, cursed in his mind, searching for the path through the maze by himself

Ginny was strangely comforted by the dark tunnel. Roots skimming the top of her head. There was only one problem, she didn't know where she was going.

She close her eyes. Thinking about what she wanted, the exit to the maze. There was loud thuds from the dirt closing in on itself. Ginny opened her eyes, Amazed she looks around, now seeing the pattern. Ginny smiled to herself. She had actually made an exact replica of the maze above her!

Lance was heading toward the maze exit, almost through but still unsure of his path

Ginny knew she was almost to the exit, she could see the light of the sun at the end of the tunnel. Just as she climbed out of the hole, she saw the raven flying over the last hedge landing on the ground across from her. She scowled at it, confused as to what an animal would want from her.

The Raven turned back into Lance, who was laughing casually

Ginny gasped as Lance transformed. Then she started glaring when he continued to laugh. "Oh what ever. Don't be so superior" she said with acid in her voice, "besides, I totally won."

Lance shrugged. "Whatever makes you happy." the words were mockish but he wasn't honestly making fun of her, he meant it

She examined him to see if his comment was sarcasm. She couldn't really tell. "Thanks I guess?" said Ginny. She couldn't decide whether he was sincere.

Lance laughed, "I wasn't being sarcastic."

She pursed her lips, not completely believing him. "Most guys wouldn't be so eager to admit they lost to a girl."

Lance shrugged, "Well then I guess I's a weirdo."

She smiled "I guess."

Ginny walked over to hole in the ground, imagining it closing off all it's entrances. She didn't want anyone else besides her or Lance to know about the tunnels.
She turned back to look at him curiously, "what were you doing in the garden anyway?"

Lance shrugged, "Nothing much, enjoying the view."

"I see" she understood that much. The garden was a really nice place to relax.

"So what were you doing here? apart from kicking my butt?" Lance asked, grinning

She smiled back at him laughing,"I come here most of the time. It's comforting when I have a bad day" said Ginny. Then Ginny realized she sounded kind of sad, she twirled her hair around her fingers nervously.

Lance raised an eyebrow, "Are you upset now?"

Ginny tried to replicate his face, and copy his tone "Are you upset now?"

Lance laughed, "Are you making fun of me?"

Ginny smiled, tilting her head to the side "why would I wanna do that?"

"No idea!" Lance laughed harder

After Ginny quit laughing she sat lightly on the ground. looking up at Lance.

Lance plopped down next her hair, plucking a weed from the ground and playing with it, "I like weeds."

Ginny let a orange flower grow where he had pulled the stem from the ground. "I like flowers"

Lance laughed, "Yes. Flowers are nice."

"what do you want to do?" she asked her eyes shining, "wanna have another race?" Ginny Smirked. She didn't feel like racing though, making the tunnel had worn her out.

Lance shook his head, leaning back to look at the clouds, "Not really. I'm not sure what I want to do."
