Once Upon A Time... discussion

Emily, apparently lost, finds herself in the attic.
"What a creepy place!" she says.
She see's cobwebs and pieces of furniture covered in old sheets. The room smells ancient, and looks as though no one has walked up here in years. Emily understood why it would be an unpopular room. Then she spots a mirror standing in the corner. she walks towards it, examining it's beautiful craftsmanship and admiring the intricate design. She looks at her reflection, then the mirrror became twisted and distorted, making Emily shriek in fear. Then, a shadowy figure appears in the mirror. The shadow becomes more visible, and appears to be a young girl, around the age of 11 or 12. She was dressed in worn shabby clothes with holes. Her face, a sad expression, with traces of dirt covering her little complection. She had big green eyes and long brown curly hair, which cascaded down ner shoulders. Emily stares at this young girl. Her eyes full of emptiness and
sorrow. She looked at Emily with longing, wanting a lfe she once had, until tragedy struck, and plucked her away from this world and into the next.

Casper came out from the shadows, his creepy self dark and looming. He didn't say anything as she stepped forward, eyes glistening with anger

Emily, still frozen with fear, finds herself asking the girl questions. Unaware she was not alone in this dark attic.

Casper smiled slightly, though it was a cold smile, an evil smile, he waited for her to finish with the mirror, sitting quietly into a dusting chair

Adira, Alec, and Lance came in. Lance was still holding Ginny's hand.

"So who exactly are we looking for?" Alec asked

Adira watched Casper, standing in the shadows. "Him"

Ginny moved behind Lance, holding onto his waist. Not liking the way Casper smiled wickedly at all of them.

Ali got goosebumps, staring at Casper. Unable to look away.

Lance grabbed Ginny's hand, not liking Casper at all.

Casper looked at Adira. "Hello...everyone. What do you need?"

Adira stepped forward, unafraid, "Advice. We need to find a memory stealer"

Landon stood next to Ali. He watched Casper warily, not trusting him.

Ali stood her ground, watching for any sudden movement from Casper, not trusting him at all. She rested her hand on her sword, waiting for Casper to respond to Adira.

Casper grinned, "Of course. You'll find him in the Nightmare Land of course. It's the only place he can stay."

Ginny grinned, "Nightmare Land? you have to be joking"

Casper looked at her, "No. And you shouldn't take it any less seriously. Nothing good comes from that place."

Ginny sighed, was there any humor left in the world?

Lance gripped her hand, stepping slightly in front of her, he didn't trust Casper.

Adira stepped forward. "You live in nightmare land."

Casper rolled his eyes, "Of course you had to bring that up again."

Ginny rolled her eyes, stepping beside Lance instead of staying behind him. She appraised Casper, not afraid of him anymore. Ginny had found some kind of hidden courage in herself, her eyes glinted green.

Casper turned to her, smiling evily. "Is there something you wish to say?"

She smiled sweetly, "what ever do you mean?" Ginny asked innocently.

Casper rolled fire across his fingers, "Don't fool with me."

Ali felt her sword, heat up. Which usually meant someone was getting ready to fight. Oh my she thought, seeing the way Casper was watching Ginny. "I believe we were talking about the memory stealer." she said, interrupting what ever response Ginny began to say.

Casper nodded, "Well, if I were you I'd leave it. Not even I would challenge him. But if you must, you better hope you have enough resources."

Ginny looked around curious, wondering what he meant by resources.

"Are you all 'special' or is someone normal here?"

Ali stepped forward, "I'm a shape-shifter, a healer, and I influence the weather."

Ginny nodded, "I have an affinity for Earth." she didn't say what else, feeling inadequate.

Adira smiled, "You already know what I do."

Alec grinned, leaning against the wall, "I'm a Necromancer."

"I'm a shapeshifter and I can control fire." Lance said

Casper nodded, "But will that be enough in the end? Ginny, is it? What exactly can you do?"

Ginny rolled her eyes, "I already said I have an Affinity for Earth...Anything of Earth obeys my command, blah blah blah."

Casper shook his head, eyes glowing slightly, "what kind of things?"

Ginny hesitated, not understanding the motive behind his questions. "Anything made of Earth."

Casper threw back his head and laughed, "Oh this will be wonderful! Just don't die and everything will go perfectly." He told her

Ali exchanged glances with Ginny, "what are you talking about? We won't let anyone die." she said determined.

Casper laughed, "But you won't be able to help it with this one. You're only hope, don't you see, is in Ginny."

Ginny rolled her eyes, "Stop talking in code.

Casper sighed, "He's made from the earth, you see. it is his...life source i suppose you could say. Without he is useless, and you can control him."

Ginny gasped shocked, "I don't think I'm that good..."

Casper looked at her, "Oh, you'll be perfect."

She raised her eye brows, "Don't die, it'll be perfect"

Casper rolled his eyes, "If you die, there's no point in continuing with the journey, everyone will die."

Ginny smirked, "I'll try my hardest to stay alive then."

Ali scowled, "You don't have to worry about it Ginny, your not going to just turn over."

Lance gripped her arm, worried.

Casper grinned, "Well then if your so sure go gallivanting off."

Ginny flinched at Lance's touch, feeling pain shoot up her arm where blood was soaking through the gauze.

Ali looked at Adira, "where exactly is the Nightmare Land?" she asked feeling stupid.

Lance noticed her arm, drawing back, "Sorry." he muttered, his voice dripping with regret.

Adira thought, "It's past the forest, very dark and thick. Not many people go there. Most people die."

Ginny grimaced, carefully taking his hand in hers avoiding her wrist. She squeezed his fingers, not wanting him to feel bad.

Ali sighed, "Sounds cheery."

Lance sighed, looking at her.

Adira laughed, "We'll be alright."

Ginny glanced at Lance trying to read his expression. Her gift for reading emotions wasn't working when she was so far away from the earth. She didn't look away from Lance as she called out to Adira, "Can we get going...This Attic is bothering me."

Ali nodded, a ghost of a smile on her face.

Adira nodded as well. "Alright, thanks Casper." she muttered, ushering every outside. "To the Nightmare LAnd."

Ali laughed, "Should we follow the yellow brick road?"

Adira grinned, "Actually, the road does have a sort of red tint to it, if you want to follow the red brick road."
