Waitasec. Where's my copy of Neverwhere? *panic*"
I can sniff out my fellow fanatics.
All things Neil are welcomed here.

I'd love to hear everyone's take on their own writing process, or answer questions for the curious. As a writer, do you do anything you think may be unique as far as process goes, or have you learned valuable lessons you think every writer should know? What comes first--character (the chicken), or plot (the egg)? Discuss!
Also, before anyone asks, I get my ideas from:
Dreams
Neil Gaiman
Frightful Weather
My Mom
Reading/TV/Movies
Neil Gaiman
The Mailman
The Security Guard at my condo complex (who tells FANTASTIC Irish jokes)
My Grandparents (who're Irish)
Various bartenders
My Barista (who keeps advising me to write about vampires)
Neil Gaiman
Also, I have a (no doubt unhealthy) fascination with the apocalypse, pre-, during and post-.
