Between the Lines discussion

For my school we have to read a summer reading book each year before school starts, and I decided to read Bel Canto. This book is an interesting book. It's about a Japanese man who goes to a poor country in South America for a party that's being thrown for him for his birthday. His favorite opera singer is there, and she's a girl that everyone loves. Terrorist take over the party, and the rest of the story is about what happens after that. I'm not going to tell the points that will give the story away.But love relationships are formed, and in all it portrays terrorists as humans and not just people who effortlessly kill innocent people. The ending was rushed and disappointing. So if anyone has read this book I would love to hear your thoughts on the book.
