First off, wow, 40 people. I've been utterly failing as a moderator and I apologize. So let me start making up for it.

At the store group, we are reading Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi. I've always heard good things about both the book and the movie, plus we've read a number of books dealing with the Middle Eastern countries so this will be a nice addition to that. Furthermore, it's so different from anything we've ever read as it's a graphic biography. (It seems appropriate that the movie is animated.)

Thus far, I'm still in what constitutes volume one, I believe. (I'm reading the edition with both volumes.) Nevertheless, I am enjoying it.

Has anyone else read Persepolis? The Complete Persepolis

Debbie | 1 comments I've read the first book and I have 64 pages left on the second one.

This was a book group pick, I would not have pick this on my own. It is an easy read, although there are alot of characters and ALOT about history...which I'm not interested in. Although in general I do like memoirs.

Jen | 1 comments I read this book after my husband was assigned it in class. Later we saw the film. As usual I enjoyed the book better than the movie.
