My book "Let Us Not Live in Ignorance" is largely set in Lebanon in the 1980's, during the civil war. It's a multi-leveled love story -- familial, fraternal, romantic -- that encourages compassion and open-mindedness. The story's message is very relevant to today's international, cross-cultural tensions. Let Us Not Live in Ignorance

Part of my book "Walking for Peace, an inner journey" - memoir of my Rome-to-Jerusalem walk for peace - takes place in Lebanon, as we entered northern Lebanon from Syria and walked the entire coastline (Tripoli - Byblos - Beirut - Saida - Sour) down to the border with Israel. Unfortunately, we could not cross that border on foot as it was closed with land mines and barbed wire. Perhaps this book fits?
I'm also Lebanese :-)
