Interesting question. Don't you find that each of us as women, individuals, etc. have our own personalities. I've loved them all. What I see as a unifying thread between them all is that the dog was what held them together. My husband and I inherited our kitty almost two years ago, and he has given us so much joy in our home. He's almost 12 years old, he can be a downright stinker, but he gives me reasons to laugh, someone to care for, and a cute little buddy that I love with all my heart. He really is a very important part of my family. The hermit crabs just aren't quite as exciting for some reason. I do most of the Mommy "care" work for our Frisco, my hubby isn't into brushing, cleaning the litter box, and other fun kitty jobs like cleaning up the dead birds. Mark likes the jobs where he can be the hero like feeding. That's the highlight of our kitty's day sometimes. Your question asks about believability. I still think that in each example, it is the dog that is the glue that helps to hold, mold and make a healthier family.

Cheryl | 134 comments THE ONLY OTHER DOG STORIES I KNOW ARE LASSIE, OLD YELLER, AND GOOD DOG CARL. OH! AND THE PLAY, SYLVIA! ALL OF THESE POOCHES HOLD THEIR FAMILIES TOGETHER AND GIVE INDIVIDUALS PURPOSE. BRENT HAS A SHIRT THAT SAYS IT ALL. "THINGS TO DO TODAY: LET DOG IN; LET DOG OUT; LET DOG IN; LET DOG OUT." TALK ABOUT GIVING A PERSON PURPOSE!
