Donna R wrote: "
A Room with a Pew: Sleeping Our Way Through Spain's Ancient Monasteries"Spain has some great monasteries. We have Henry VIII to thank for a cultural holocaust in England. Not only did he dissolve them but burnt them as well, manuscripts and all. Certainly one of the most backward episodes in English history and barely mentioned. We prefer to gossip about his ex-wives instead...
The Telling Room: A Tale of Love, Betrayal, Revenge, and the World's Greatest Piece of Cheese by Michael Paterniti

Great books. I would add the Summer of dead toys by Antonio Hill and Homage to Barcelona by Cole Toibin
