I'd love some examples of teens questioning their faith other than Christianity if anyone knows of any.

Son of Hamas: A Gripping Account of Terror, Betrayal, Political Intrigue, and Unthinkable Choices is also supposed to be good but I haven't read it myself.
Jennifer when you first started the topic I couldn't think of a single title but now more and more are coming to mind.
I have read Infidel, there really aren't words to describe that book, but it's not geared towards young adults.
I'm glad you're coming up with some options, it took me a bit (and some searching) before I could think of any, too.

I haven't read these ones, but they sound good and are not about Christianity.Shine, Coconut Moon by Neesha Meminger
The Book of Trees by Leanne Lieberman
Hush by Eishes Chayil

Infidel will work for this challenge, though, because I opened it up to any book since it is such a tough topic to find books...

When I was a young adult the age range was considered late teens - which I think this book would suit.
Now YA has slipped into what was called teen fiction and I agree that is probably a bit young for Infidel.

Hi Jennifer, sorry for the late response. I haven't read Annexed, so I don't know if it would work. The description sounds like it may, but it would have to be more along the lines of the main character questioning why his religion believes the things it does rather than "why the Jews?"

I just read a book that fits this challenge- yay!!! In The Blood Lie: A Novel by Shirley Reva Vernick Jack is struggling with the amount of time spent at the synagogue and also with having to forgive others for their prejudices against Jews.

The Chosen One I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it. The main character was completely believable as she questioned her faith and her family ties. The only thing I wonder is would a younger reader understand that this is based on realistic events, especially because the author never explicitly says that the characters are Mormons.
