Alexis Gonzalez | 4 comments The setting of this poem takes place at the ocean. He talks about the grey rocks and how the water flows through the ocean waters.

This poem is reminissing on his daughters memories and then he started talking about death. He gives different ways to talk about and imagine death. He seems confused and angry but he never states why.

He see's a face. It's unclear to him though and he cant make out what or who it is. He begins hearing thigs and just starts paying attention to all of the ocean surroundings again. The author of this poem misses his daughter and cant seem to find her.

He states that he wants to take his own life for hers. All the surroundings that he describes are meant to create a mental picture of being lonely. Everything he feels is lost, sad, and dark. He's buy himself on a deserted island and he looks out into the fog only to find a mist of what his daughter looks like. But he never see's her.
