"I'm sorry miss, but we can't go any faster." a worker tried to explain. "Any faster and we could well blow the whole thing."
"Very well..." Gwen said, the irritation clear in her voice.
The worker went back to work, typing in various commands on a computer that was part of a large panel of computers stretching across the room. On one side of the room was a giant glass pane, going from one side of the room to the other and meeting the ceiling.
Beyond the glass pane was what appeared to be a dig site but with what looked electronic lights mounted on poles. Except, they weren't lighting up the area, it already had enough light coming from lights on the ceiling, they were about eight of them and they appeared to be holding open a swirling mass of black energy.
Soon... soon! Gwen thought, having another bout of paranoia that she would be stopped before the completion of the project, she left the room.

Pierre escapes from the duat. teleports to gwens base. Hello Gwen. I see your are trying to raise apophis right. well i think i can help you. We need to destroy all the nomes. then we can raise apophis without any pesky magicians. so what do you say??
"Hey, Lilynette! When are those Twenty-first Nome guys getting her again? I'm starving for a good fight!" Roku announced.
Lilynette opened her eyes, glancing Roku's way, her brows furrowed in irritation. "Ask Coyote." she replied quietly.
"Coyote! When-"
"Tomorrow." Coyote answered wearily. "Let me eat."
The three were sitting at a rectangular table as caterers placed plates of high energy food for them.
Roku grumbled. "Huh! I'm so pumped for battle, that I could fight the nearest person to me!" at that comment, the nearest caterer quickly moved away.
"Don't look at me." Coyote said, digging into his plate with lackluster enthusiasm.

Pierre sees gwen has already got a team.. "well gwen i guess my help is not needed". Pierre teleports back to his base.
Roku stood up, knocking his chair back as he placed his hands on the table. "Kildare, do you wish to fight me!"
Lilynette continued eating as though nothing happened.
Lilynette continued eating as though nothing happened.
A worker walked by Roku's room.
"Only an hour until-" the worker couldn't even finish his sentence as Roku ran by.
"Finally! I can't wait to fight them!" he said loudly.
~~~
Another worker came to Lilynett's room, stopping in the door frame.
"Miss Lilynette, the Twenty-first Nome should be arriving in an hour's time." she said.
Lilynette sat, lotus style, as she opened her eyes. "Very well." she stood up and began leaving the room. "I hope they don't get here too soon, I'd like to think a bit before I have to fight."
~~~
"Kildare, Twenty-first Nome arriving soon, you should be getting to your position."
~~~
The last worker hung back in the door frame, looking around to see if anyone was in the area.
"Should I wake him up? Gods, that's Van's job, he's the only one Coyote wouldn't attack for waking him up."
He stood there for a few more seconds before quickly walking away.
"He'll get up on his own time."
Gwen stood in the main control room, looking at the swirling mass of black and purple energy.
"With those experiments working to defeat my idiot brother and his little friends, we'll be able to summon Apohpis and do away with him!"
"Miss," a worker said tentatively. "can you turn it down, we're trying to work here."
Gwen resisted the urge to attack.
All according to plan, all accorfing to plan...
((Other than translator, healer, or statue maker, charm caster's the only other option.))
"Take your spot on the room right after Lilynette's." Gwen answered.
"Take your spot on the room right after Lilynette's." Gwen answered.
"Where's the base?" Damian asked, looking around. "All I see is a house."
In front of them, as Damian, had said, was a house. The only one in the general area.
"That's... my house!" Tim said hoarsly before getting his composure back. "Or at least, it used to be."
"She used your own house as the base of her operations? I do not like the looks of this." Mira said.
"Even if it is a trap," Damian said, walking forward. "We still have to go, who knows when Gwen will release Apophis!"
The group walked up to the house stopping at the door.
"I'll open it." Van said, putting his hand on the door and allowing a bit of his chaos magic to flow into it.
The door quickly deteriorated while the hinges rusted.
Van grabbed the door to keep it from banging loudly on the floor. Tim was amazed how little the house had changed since he'd left it.
They walked up to the basement door and Van opened it without hesitation.
"Hopefully, they're no guards." he said.
They walked down a long stair case that went at least thirty feet underground, before finally stopping at another door, reading, Unless you're a worker or the leader, don't go any further, or you will die. Have a nice day!
Van walked up to this too and opened it more quietly than the last one.
The door opened up into a large, square room, with white walls and floor, the light fixtures hanging from the ceiling, which was about thirty feet above them.
"Finally! You have arrived!" a young man called across the room. "I am Roku Abari! Prepare to fight!"
"Ha! I am one of Gwen's strongest workers!" he said, pointing a finger at them. "Do you really think you will win, with your ordinary powers?"
"Roku?" Van asked, squinting as if to make sure it was really him. "You actually went through the magic augmentation process? Are you stupid?"
"Van Tsu-yan. So you finally brought them here. Good, now the fight can begin!"
"Hold on just a minute!" Damian said. "Van, do you know him?"
"Yes, actually."
"Yes, actually."
"A weapon of sound, huh?" Roku asked, smilling dangerously as he continued. "Well I'll show you the power of sound!"
"Oh no!" Van said, plugging his ears.
Roku let loose with a scream that echoed off the walls and floor, amplifying its magnitude.
Even with his ears plugged, the sound was stll hideously loud.
Damian and Mira fell to the ground as they to tried to cover their ears.
Roku stopped. "Not at all, you are a magician who uses sound as his instrument, right? Well then, it comes as no surprise that you would not find my display of power very intimidating."
"You guys will have to go on ahead." Van said. "Let me and Moses handle it. I know his strengths and weakness, so it shouldn't last long."
"But what about the whole 'he knows you and you know him' thing?" Tim demanded. "Are you working for them!"
"Not at all, I'm a-"
"Traitor!" Roku yelled.
"I was never working for you guys in the first place, I'm a double agent."
"You dare try and fight me one-on-one? You must have quite the fighter's spirit!" Roku said, taking a step forward.
"The rest of you go on ahead, who knows when Gwen will release Apophis?" Van said, pulling out his spear and a pair of earplugs.
"Bu-" Damian began.
"GO!" Van commanded.
"I'll let you go, the others should take care of you." Roku said, looking to Moses. "I want to fight another magician of sound to see who is the stronger opponent!"
Van ran forward, hoping to end the battle quickly, the blunt end of his spear held out in front.
But before he could get very far, Roku shouted with enough force to stop Van dead in his tracks. He began to walk forward, the noise level increasing with each step Roku took. When he finally got to Van, Roku uppercut Van, sending him flying before he hit the ground.
"Take that, traitor!"
"I'm supposed to be helping!" Van said, picking himself up. "Though I probably can't do much."
"He is right." Roku turned his attention to Moses. "Take your best shot!"
"He is right." Roku turned his attention to Moses. "Take your best shot!"
Jumping up, Roku landed, giving a quick sweep with his leg and knocking Moses' feet out from under him.
Roku stumbled back before regaining his balance.
"There! This is the type of fight I've been waiting for!"
"Just shut up and lose so we can move on." Van said.
"While dying in battle would be honorable, I'd like to live to fight more fights." Roku said, clapping his hands together and making a sound wave that forced Moses and Van back to the ground.
"What th-"
"You though my powers only extended to my voice? They emcompass all aspects of sound waves!" Roku stated.
"You though my powers only extended to my voice? They emcompass all aspects of sound waves!" Roku stated.
Roku seemed unaffected by this, as he clapped his hands together once more, sending another shockwave strait for Moses and Van.
"Thanks." Van said.
Roku was quick to recover, stomping his foot, actually sending a wave of energy through the ground.
He seems to have power over vibrations... But then again, that's all sound is.
Roku seemed a little put off by this, but he didn't let it stop him for long.
Punching into the air, he sent a wave of sound strait at Van. His eyes widened and instinctively shut, waiting for the hit. When it never came, he looked up.
There was a swirling shield of red orange magic before him.
Even Roku looked surprised.
"Hmm... It looks like I involuntarily protected myself with my magic." Van reasoned.
"Okay." Van said, running around Roku.
Running up to the now closed door, he tried to turned the handle, to no avail.
"Why-won't-this-thing-open!" Van said, pulling on the door between each pause.
"Those doors lock after each close to stop trespassers from getting any further, I have the key for this door." Roku explained.
"Why did you tell us that?" Van asked.
Roku paused for a moment, before sending a shout Van's way.
He brought the shield up, and blocked the brunt of the scream, but being inexperienced, he was still pushed into the wall.
"Thanks. Don't die on us!" he said, running after the others.
"Good riddance." Roku said, clapping his hands with more force than before.
"A modified version of translator." Roku answered confidently.
After hearing the mostly boring talk of the scientists after his magic augmentation, a little of their knowledge had worn off on him.
"It seems my power level right now is not strong enough to defeat you." Roku mused aloud. "So then, I will simply push it to its highest level!"
Holding out two fingers, Roku stabbed his throat, yelling with a force unrivaled thus far.
Sound began emanating from him as he looked at Moses.
"Now, the real fight begins!"
Roku shot towards Moses, the ground rippled beneath his feet, propelling him forward, as he lunged at Moses.
Roku fell back, but his fall was softened as he sent ripples through it and liquified for the brief instant the ripples propagated through it.
He used the ripples to aid him in leaping backwards and landing softly again.
"Yes." Roku said, his voice sounding strange admist the sound already coming from him.
He hit the ground with a stomp that knocked a brick loose and kicked it up before he grabbed it and sent the brick flying with a sound enhanced punch.
"That is my war cry!" Roku said, outraged. "You dare make fun of it? I have't seen you actually fight!"
"I'll show you a little girl!" Roku yelled as veins became visible under his skin.
The sound coming from his body increased in volume and pitch as Roku sent a flurry of punches Moses's way, their power amplified.
Roku staggered a bit before throwing his arm back, hitting Moses and sending the magician flying with a magnifying wave of sound.
"With my sound shield, I can deflect nearly all oncoming sound!" Roku boasted, charging Moses as he finished.
((I'll be going to be now, got school tomorrow, bye.))
Roku punched Moses' back, using the sound waves to further the strength.
"I've had enough of this!" Roku exclaimed, punching Moses in the stomach with his sound enhanced punches repeatedly.
The sound that came from Roku's body absorbed a good deal of the attack, but at this point, he was fighting a losing battle.
Headbutting Moses with all hus might, Roku leaped up and away from him.
Roku's eyes widened a nit, bu not for long.
"What! I thought this was a hand-to-hand fight! No you pull a knife on me!"
"What! I thought this was a hand-to-hand fight! No you pull a knife on me!"
"I doesn't matter, if I can find the resonance frequency of that knife, you'll once again only have your whistle."
Quickly punching in Moses' general direction, he began the process of finding the kife's resonance frequency.
"A display of strength, huh?"
A low hum filled the stadium like room as Moses' knife began vibrating.
"Ha! I have found the resonance frequency of your knife, now I can easily destroy it!"
