I would like to know how to hide spoilers. I am usually picking up my email on my Android phone, can I do that from this device?
You should be able to hide spoilers using your Android. I can, even though I hate doing it. LOLSimply type:
< spoiler > write your spoiler here < / spoiler >
Write the above without the spaces. I only added the spaces so that it wouldn't do the hide spoiler thing on me. If your phone's keyboard doesn't have the < > bracket symbols, then I doubt you can do it.
You can also look up this code, among others, by looking at the top right of the dialogue box. At Just above the dialogue box, click on the pale green words that say (some html is ok).
If your cell phone doesn't have the < > bracket codes, then you can do it the old way by putting **SPOILER** at the top of your spoiler.
I hope that this helps. :)
I have noticed that most can copy the quotes they are replying to. Is there a trick or are smart phones maybe not able to do this?

we will probably be taking nominations shortly. we put a thread up asking for nominations, then vote a week later.

Shortly as in 'when we get to it.' ;) We usually send out a mass email. December has been pretty quiet in FA.

I haven't been the best about updating my fantasy challenge titles and now I can't seem to find the list. Can anyone provide a link? Thanks!

Michael, with the GR system, we can't save challenges or archive them. We checked in the feedback and mod group, and the person who created the challenges has left the company, so the project isn't very high priority. The challenge ended some time ago, and I believe we put up a couple notes asking for input and letting people know the issue--it took up a ginormous space on our home page.
The list itself is still at http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/7...

Is there a convenient way to add in a link to a book in the goodreads app? I.e., something better than searching for the book in a browser and copy/pasting the URL?I see link-ified titles but I'm not sure where they come from.
I don't know if you are using the mobile app, Reuben, but when you reply to someone (or start a thread) the comment box has two links in color above it, on the right side. One says "add book/author" and the other says "some html is ok." When you select "add book/author" and look it up, it will insert the link into the comment.Does that answer your question?
New to group too, already confused. How to find current topics of interest? Oh good lord, I better click off the E-mail me button. It seems goodreads is devoted to rating books for Amazon's sales-persons? How do I meet-up with fellow Orc-friends without getting tapped for data every 58 seconds. Oh dear!

If you have any questions on how to create threads or do html, feel free to ask your questions here. We have a lot of experienced members, and if I don't answer your question, I'm certain that someone else will. :)
Happy reading!
