isn't written by Robert Musil so I added
a new author Robert Musil (alias). I hope that was the right thing to do.

I think it should be just "Robert Musil" with an added space then, not "Robert Musil (alias)"
(alias of whom would be the question?)

I guess it isn't written by but about Robert Musil?
Seeing the number of books called Robert Musil on Geoodreads?

Then the author would be "Unknown" if he's not given.

So, it's Robert Musil with an added space.
