Is it actually helpful or just an annoying restriction?

It depends. In some towns, the crime rate is pretty scary, and making sure that the people you know are at home by a certain time can do more good than harm.

I know that when I'm biking, I'm supposed to be back before the streetlights turn on. And if I'm with my raka (sweetheart) then I'm given a certain limit. I'm usually only allowed three hours with him, which in reality goes by fast :-/

True, it can be dangerous...but in reality, I tend to ignore curfew (10 pm)...and I don't tell my parents about my relationships '-_- Well, I did once, but I was at a camp with him so they couldn't really control that at all anyway :P

For sure; I tend to be more in the mood for reading or chatting or watching a movie or something after 8ish versus going downtown and exploring the random small dark alleys ;P

I like the night... I wouldn't want to go down dark alleys and stuff in the middle of the night, but whether in your living room or just outside, it's more peaceful.

I like it too, I'm just in more of a lazy mood...well, actually that lasts until about 1...I've wandered around after 1 :P But earlier, the furthest I'll go is my yard :P

I was at a sleepover when I did that...I live in a village "-_- What's living in the country like?

Well, it's very peaceful... When I go to my mom's (she lives in a small city) I hear everything, each car going by, each alarm, I notice (and am irritated by.) It's nice having a lot of your own land to take the four wheeler out and just drive around... Stuff like that...

...I feel like I would die in the country...I always stay in the town after school for as long as I can before returning to the village '-_-

Yeah... I can't walk to and from school... I have a 30 minute to and from school every day... So if I want to stay after I have to get a ride home... At least that is till I can drive.

Well I can get my permit once I turn 16 (my birthday is in March), then I think I have to have that for like 6 months and log a certain amount of hours then I can get my junior license.

Haha, I shall laugh at you when I have my license at a younger age than you :P
By the way, don't you have to be 16 to donate blood? So how do they know if they can put it on your license or not? What if you donate for the first time right after you get your license? ">.<

I live in a large town/small city. When I go out into the country (I have friends who live out there) I notice everything is quiet.

My town has a curfew: all minors should be inside a building (or at least at home, or even just WITH) an adult the age of 18 or older. My own curfew at home is "when the streetlights turn on."

Sorry but I've gotta laugh when you say curfews are helpfull. Because on one warm summer evening, I strolled down the street and was draging my cigarette. A cop stoped and asked me where I got them from; I replied I found it on the side of the street. (That's a lie if I've ever heard one.) He glared at me in a pissy way, and he said,"It'll be curfew in a few hours. You damn well better be home." Guess who snuck out that night?
As a teenager, I can sincerely say that curfews are an irritation that you can slip easily enough; they honestly don't stop shit from happening.
