Hi everyone, I'm just wondering what Angel books everone is reading right now.

message 2: by Amy (new)

Amy I enjoyed Halo. Wasn't as good as some of the other angel reads but it was good. I recently read Angelfire and I loved it!

It seems like Halo is one of those books that is divided down the middle, either people love it or hate it. I've seen glowing reviews for the book and scathing reviews. I havent' read it yet myself, so I don't know...

message 4: by Marla (new)

Marla Schwartz (marlalynns) I am currently not reading any books on angels. Unfortunately, because I just started school again ( getting my teaching certificate) and work started again ( I work at a high school), I haven't been able to read a lot of "fun" books(unless you consider "foundations of education" a fun book.

Amy ~Lover of Books~ Well, I'm going to start Original Sin (Personal Demons, #2) by Lisa Desrochers today sometime in the afternoon after I get home from work.

Congrat's on working toward your certificate! I wish yo the bet of luck! Hey can I borrow the foundations of education book when you're done with it, it sounds like a great read :D

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 143 comments Hang in there, Marla! It's worth it.

Michelle (michelledz) | 1 comments I read Angelfire a while ago, and IT WAS AMAZING! A must read! Right now I'm reading Unearthly, and it's pretty good too!

Michelle,

I started Angelfire but wasn't able to finish it because I was very busy at the time and was borrowing the book from the library. I'll have to get back to it. Thanks for letting us know it was an amazing book.

message 10: by Amy (new)

Amy I read it as well and loved it!

message 11: by Amy (new)

Amy I'm reading End of Days, which is the third book in the series and I'm really enjoying it.

Sounds interesting L, let us know what you think when you've read it.

Hey Amy, I only read Fallen in that series and I really want to read all of them. What did you think of the first and second book in the series?

message 14: by Amy (new)

Amy I adored the books. Definitely a lot of detail and back story.

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

Fallen

I am reading Fallen. A friend recommended it to me and its fascinating so far. I was just trying to add my very favorite angel book but it would not come up for me. Its by Dr. Moolenburg. Maybe I can get it by the author.

message 16: by Amy (new)

Amy Fallen is a great book! I love the whole series.

Right now I'm reading Silence by Becca Fitzpatrick. Picked it up yesterday and super excited to read it!

When I first saw your post, I though you meant Fallen by Sniegoski. I haven read fallen by Lauren Kate yet. When i do read it I'll let you know what I think. Did you read any of Sniegoski's works? He has the fallen series The Fallen Omnibus, Vol 1 (The Fallen, #1-2) by Thomas E. Sniegoski or my favorite of his works, the Remy Chandler series A Kiss Before the Apocalypse (Remy Chandler, #1) by Thomas E. Sniegoski

Your welcome. You'll love Remy Chandler! He's awesome LOL.

Read the first reviews but need to read more.

Amy You'll love Sniegoski too. His Fallen series is great. I just finished book three and it left it sort of open if he were to write a fourth which I'm hoping for.

Ordered it from the library. I just picked up my copy of Angelic Healing to read. I read the whole thing years ago but like to read a little more of it now and again.
Page 71 - "In Japan, where the traditional bath is still called a gift from God, healing hot springs are places of pilgrimage for millions of Japanese every year. In Shinto, the traditional religion of Japan, each spring is watched over by special guardian spirits called kami, whose presence and help are invoked by those who come for healing."

Carole (4liverpool) I really enjoyed Rebecca Lim - Mercy,Exile & waiting for Muse to be publised. Also Lauren Kate fallen series, Kristian Douglas- The fallen series, Heather Terrell Fallen Angel, Eternity, Thomas Sniegoski fallen series. I am just reading silence by Becca Fitzpatrick

message 23: by Amy (new)

Amy What do you think of it so far Carole? I'm not sure what I think. I'm almost finished and I"m a little surprised by some of the events. Not sure if I like it or not.

message 24: by Carole (new)

Carole (4liverpool) I just started it last night, after finishing Lost in time by Melissa de la Cruz in 5 hours. I enjoyed reading the first 2, but I am having a bit of trouble remembering all the facts as it has been 2 months since I last read her series. I really into the story usually by the first page. I usually like to read the series non stop. Also go to youtube and see all the trailers that fans have made for the books. It is interesting to see who they imagine as the characters.
P.S. if you want to read books that are more adult, but not trashy try Kristina Douglas. Oh so good. Not trashy or cheesy, just oh

message 25: by Amy (new)

Amy I didn't know about the trailers. I'll definitely check them out. I would love it if Hollywood made this series into a movie. That would be awesome!

message 26: by Claudia (new)

Claudia (romantasygirl) | 4 comments Hi, I´m new here and at the moment I´m reading "Her dark angel" by Felicity Heaton and just begun book 1 of the guild hunter series of Nalini Singh "angel blood". I´m totally fascinated by "her dark angel" although there could be more action, fight and dark issues with the angels. Therefore "angel blood" has much more of that dark side of the angels and a really tough heroine. Maybe a bit too tough for my liking, but that´s only my opinion... Raphael is a bit too arrogant towards Elena and mortals in general..hmm...

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 143 comments Carole, I loved Raziel.

message 28: by Marla (new)

Marla Schwartz (marlalynns) I haven't started it yet but I just got the book "Angels in America". I did see the series and loved it! Amazon sells the book and the movie together but I can't remember for how much. I am looking forward to reading it!!!

message 29: by [deleted user] (last edited Oct 26, 2011 01:16PM) (new)

I just started The Fallen and its so exciting so far. I have had a dream very similar to the one that Aaron has. I only remember it as at the time I wrote it down in my dream journal. There were pillars, lots of sand and of course angels descending. I was terrified. The angels in his dream are wearing golden armor but mine seemed to be glistening white for the most part altho some were very dark and unable to be seen at night for this reason. I think they were demons maybe. Scary dream!

Hi Colleen, I forgot to tell you that Fallen by Lauren Kate is more of a love story and a triangle about reincarnation than the mysterious which The Fallen seems to be.
The second part is waiting for me at the library but I hope to finish this one before we leave town for a few days.
alice cullen for today ;-)

Wow,that's quite a dream Alice. Do you dream a lot?

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes, I do dream most every night. I have woke up crying, screaming and happy depending on the dream. I hate the ones where I wake up screaming. Those are rare for which I am glad.

message 33: by Marla (new)

Marla Schwartz (marlalynns) I haven't started reading it yet, but I just received Angels in America. I ordered the book and the dvd. I saw the movie on HBO and didn't even know that it was a book. I loved the movie so I decided to buy it and when I saw that it was a book also, I had to have it. I can't wait to start it!

Alice,

It sounds like you and I have similar "dream lives" I've also had unbelievable dreams. I've died in my dreams, become a ghost, I've become an angel (you wouldn't think about it but if you have wings, it's uncomfortable to sit back on a chair - I discovered that in my dream), I've gone to heaven and hell....oh it goes on and on. But the best thing about my dreams is that I've learned to fly. At first it was difficult taking off....and then it was difficult landing, but now I can fly like a pro LOL.

What about you? What's the best thing about your dreams?

message 35: by [deleted user] (new)

I have never had that dream about an angel. I am sure its just dreams. That is interesting that we both have those balloon dreams.

I just finished the book a touch mortal. It is a trilogy. It is different, not so much your usual angel stuff, but a different take on them. The angels in them are different from all the other angels I've read so far. I liked the book enough to finish it, and will read the rest of the series, but I wouldn't say it is my favourite book.

message 37: by Dawn (new)

Dawn Jayne | 13 comments I finished up Devil. May Care and founf it great fun, fast read. I'm about to start on Crossroads by Mary Ting, hopefully this week, as soon as it arrives. I was fortunate to win an autographed copy in a radio give-a-way this afternoon. I've heard good things about it.

Michelle Herondale | 2 comments I read falling under. Its not really about an angel, but its about a half demon. Its AMAZING. I really recommend it.

Alice, I've never had a geometric dream, but I've done lucid dreaming and I've met people in my dreams that I would meet again years later and continue a conversation with them. Weird huh.

Barbara ★ I just finished Angel Burn and really liked it. The angels are the bad guys in this series and that is something new and different in this genre.

message 44: by Amy (new)

Amy Right now I'm reading A Beautiful Dark by Jocelyn Davies. I started it yesterday and I'm so obsessed with it. Might be on my favorites list!

I really agree with you. She had me totally hooked. I found it had plenty of twists and turns to make it a real page turner. She is definately my favourite author and I can't wait for her 2nd book A fractured light to come out next.

message 47: by Amy (new)

Amy Currently reading A Need So Beautiful and really liking it!
