I was wondering if there are any Taylor Caldwell fans in this group. I discovered her in the 70's and I'm still working through her works. I find her books show the dark side of the human spirit and how it can be brought into the light.

I have actually read a lot of Taylor Caldwell's books, beginning with "Dear and Glorious Physican," which I loved. Her book about Genghis Kahn "The Earth is the Lord's" is also a very good read.
I had totally forgotten about Dear and Glorious Physician. My mom had me read it when I was in the 8th grade and I remember loving it. I think it also had an an effect on my becoming a physician. I wonder how it would hold up today for me.
I read a lot of Taylor Calwell books when I was in school, which has been a long time ago. I really enjoyed her books. I read Dear and Glorious Phsyician, which I enjoyed very much. A few years ago I checked out cassette tapes of this book, and there were so many of them, and I didn't remember the book being so long. I learned that Calwell wrote several versions of this book, starting when she was 12 years old. She kept doing research on Luke, and added more to her book. It made me spend more time reading the book of Luke from the New Testament. Luke interviewed the people who knew Jesus, and those interviews became the book of Luke. Calwell found many stories about Luke in her research, which helped form her book.
