Why did you choose this book as one of your top choices?

Steven | 7 comments I chose this book because I really liked the mystery behind it in regards to the mysterious note and note sender. From the small description of the book that we received in class, the book reminded me of the movie, 12 Rounds, since both involve the main character deciding whether or not it is wise to follow through with the requests of another person who they cannot see. I also chose the book because you mentioned that it had something to do with the game show, $1,000,000 Pyramid which I used to love to watch on TV. Also, compared to the other books, this one had suspense and intrigue in it, and being that I am not an avid reader, I need some kind of excitement like this if I am going to look forward to reading a book.

Robin Anderson | 7 comments I chose this book because, growing up, "A Wrinkle of Time" was my favorite book and since then I've always been attracted to books that are just a little bit shy of reality. I also enjoy a good mystery. This book seems to follow both these themes.

Arwen Gutierrez (arwen_g) | 9 comments I was drawn to this book because of the mystery aspect and also the setting. I've always loved novels set in a big metropolitan city, which adds so many layers of culture and little secret places. When it comes to young adult lit I often prefer female protagonists because I read too many Jack London type male coming of age books in middle school.

Aline Cardia | 8 comments I liked the mystery aspect of this book, I got curious to know who wrote the letters and why. I also like NY city, so the setting also interested me.
