This just in: Women are leading the charge in e-reading.

While some continue to say that books are dying, others say books are evolving.

Lastly, this week brought sad news, for the digital literature world:
Founder of Project Gutenberg and fearless ebook inventor Michael Hart has passed away. This summer, Michael wrote about the legacy he hoped to leave: “One thing about eBooks that most people haven’t thought much is that eBooks are the very first thing that we’re all able to have as much as we want other than air. Think about that for a moment and you realize we are in the right job.” To honor this legacy, some in the publishing world are calling for us to donate something to the public domain

Here's what Seedpod editors have been reading:

Transmission by Hari Kunzru
Freedom by Jonathan Franzen
Bernice Bobs Her Hair by F. Scott Fitzgerald
