There will be giveaways, book discussions and tons of fun. Meet some new bloggers and tell me why you liked Practical Magic the book or movie.

It is super cool! The soundtrack is wonderful too for all of us musical types...

Laima I started reading Practical Magic yesterday - I LOVE it !!!

extraordinary ordinary whimsy (extraordinaryordinarywhimsy) Laima: Is this your first time reading it?

Melissa ♥ Melissa's Eclectic Bookshelf (melissaseclecticbookshelf) I didn't even know that there was a book until I happened upon the blog party's web site. I'm so excited to start it...(just as soon as I can get to the library to pick it up)!

extraordinary ordinary whimsy (extraordinaryordinarywhimsy) Melissa: It's SO good. Better than the movie (which I love).

Melissa ♥ Melissa's Eclectic Bookshelf (melissaseclecticbookshelf) I know I'm going to love it! Magical Realism (with witches) is my favorite sub-genre!!

extraordinary ordinary whimsy (extraordinaryordinarywhimsy) Melissa: Then you definitely will :) Enjoy! I look forward to your thoughts.

Thanks for friending! yes, it is. I couldn't put it down. A lot of Alice Hoffman's books have magic in the story line. I ordered 6 of her novels from Indigo - wish I had more time to read... got to go to work now. :(

extraordinary ordinary whimsy (extraordinaryordinarywhimsy) Laima: :) I know. I love that about Alice's books. :)

Jennifer oo they are all about magic..man I'm surprised I haven't found her sooner. Thanks JuJu. I'll have to check out her others too. I haven't read any of them either.

MizCreatrix NY | 1 comments This looks like a lot of fun! I've read the book several times and have seen the movie as well. I also checked out last year's PM blog party entries and I am blown away by the creativity shown by all the bloggers who participated! I want to try to do something to celebrate this year's theme...I'll see what I can come up with. I'm so not "crafty" though--and I want to be able to do the PM blog party theme justice!

Alice Hoffman is one of my favorite all time authors. =)

Heidi (heidirainydayramblings) I am half way through the book nothing like the movie that's for sure. Aren't the books almost always better than the movie?

Melissa ♥ Melissa's Eclectic Bookshelf (melissaseclecticbookshelf) I'm trying very hard to reserve judgement until I finish the book....cutting it close too...1.5 days to go!

Kara Lang (karalangauthor) | 1 comments I love Practical Magic both the book and the film, although very different. The music, the actresses all perfect. This is my favourite film and i love it.

Stephanie (fangswandsandfairydust) | 3 comments Hi Dana, came by today and visited but have to rush off and help dh build our stupid shed. This is one day I wish I were really a witch like in Bewitched.

I haven't read or seen Practical Magic in a while, but it seems to me the sisters are always finding that sticking one's hand into the bicycle spokes of life often hurts the fingers. Since, we all do this all day, each day by merely being alive, cooking, cleaning writing, reading, painting, loving, having kids we alter the world and sometimes it hurts.
