Pax Rolfe | 44 comments The Stainless Steel Rat, long live Jim DeGriz. Just how versatile is this author? The majority of his writings could best be described as tongue(firmly planted)-in-cheek sci-fi, but he has dabbled in time-travel, alternate history, and even Norse fantasy. Like Asimov, underlying it all you find insightful social commentary. Young or old, if you somehow missed this guy, then rectify that immediately.

Traci Aye. Aye. Sir.

Actually I have read Make Room! Make Room! the book the movie Soylent Green was based on. I liked it but I missed (spoiler for movie) (view spoiler)

J.P. | 104 comments A friend of mine recommended I give the Stainless Steel Rat books a try about 5 years ago and I've been reading them ever since. Jim DeGriz is a very cool character and one rarely sees a combination of action and a sense of humor in science fiction
