Ever heard of 'love at first sight'? Well, it happens and Leafpool probably reminded Crowfeather of Feathertail. I think it's reasonble.
I do agree that Leafpool taking care of other cats and her overall gentleness probably reminds him of Feathertail. That's perfectly sensible, but it just feels cheap to me to write it as "love at first sight." They could have easily made them have an actual conversation before Crowfeather saves her and have him, rather than saying he loves her, saying he likes her and maybe loves her but doesn't want to betray Feathertail.
I was stunned when I first figured it out, but then the second time I read the book I noticed that Leafpool was thinking about Crowfeather a lot. And when he takes her back to Thunderclan she says it's like there is a lightning storm between them....
I noticed all that "lightning storm" stuff but that's just attraction. I don't deny they're attracted to each other but they don't know enough about each other and their compatability to really be in love.I'm also sad that I know Ashfur and Squirrelflight won't get together. They're so good together right now
No but they can call it love. I mean, think of them like teenagers. Teenage couples say they love each other all the time. They think they're in love but then they break up later. Just because they say they are doesn't mean they are. If you think of it like that, it goes back to tbe Erins taking things from our lives into tje cat world. Does that make sense?
I think the warrior cats fall in love easier than humans..And I think Leafpool really loves Crowfeather. I don't know what Crowfeather thinks though...
You have a point. It does come across like they're trying to write it like we're meant to believe it really is love but it makes sense, especially for Leafpool to just get caught up in the whole thing. She's never even thought about relationships before and they're both still young. I'm happy for Sorreltail and Brackenfur having kits though. They're a nice, laid back couple. Like Dustpelt/Ferncloud or Brightheart/Cloudtail.
Yeah, I agree with you. CrowxFeather actually has the makings of a good relationship, but CrowxLeaf seems to be founded on infatuation and lust... What really threw me for a loop was when Erin compared Crowfeather and Feathertail to a high school romance while saying his relationship with Leafpool was a more serious adult one. I just have trouble believing this because infatuation seems to be the only explanation for her becoming his mate so quickly...
Why would you feel sorry for Nightcloud, she threated Leafpool for crossing the border with her son,Lionbaze. But Crowfeather is such a jerk, and she should forget about him.
I still feel badly for her. Her mate doesn't love her and treats their son horribly. He's basically using her and her emotions to attain a better place in WindClan. No matter who you are, that's got to hurt. XP
I know. She is mean, but no one deserves how she is treated. But Leafpool doesn't deserve it either.
I think their relationship was necessary though for the three/2 to be born and it added a little drama

Ikr,I believe Crowfeather don't deserve to have Leafpool's tears. And I bet she had a horrible kitting since she gave birth to her kits early in Leaf-bare.
too bad about leafpool and brambleclaw though.

You mean Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw, right? Yeah, it was sad to see them split, but Brambleclaw had the right reasons.
Lying to Brambleclaw about having kits didn't look very good for Squirrelflight. Brambleclaw understandably felt like she didn't trust him, but I think he failed to consider that she was also protecting him. Would he still be deputy if he had known along with Leafpool and Squirrelflight? Methinks not. I think it was probably a mixture of the two reasons that she kept it from him. Squirrelflight was probably afraid that Brambleclaw might think it was better to tell someone. Being deputy put him in a rather awkward position. At the same time, she probably didn't want to drag him into the whole mess, because she knew the results wouldn't be pretty.
Well I kinda agree with Witlea about Squirrelflight lying to Brambleclaw about the kits to protect so he don't have to get involved with the situation and problem.
Squirelflight had a rather good reason to lie, though i could understand that Brambleclaw felt betray, Since the one cat he was supposed to trust lied to him.
Well in my opinon he should of forget about Squrrielflight and had another mate(Ashfur) because it will never happen that way.
Yes Ashfur is a guy but Squrrielflight thought that he would keep the secret safe but he didn't.But Squrrielflight is going through a hard time since the couple don't talk to each other like they used to be.
Me too but I don't read Warriors anymore.I'm writing books about cats though but it's way different.
Well my books are about cats, wolves, and big cats but it's way better than Warriors but it's going to be a love story.
Well I don't find if I read your books too.But mine is a series through 1 to 13.But not another like Warriors.I'm writing all 4 series of them but it's different species of animals.
There's more than 1 main charcter in my book, but the one who's telling the story, had to go through the most. She looses more than anyone else, but she gains alot to.
Well I'm doing my first series of whales, dolphins and other sea creatures first then the others. Can we be friends that will be cool to read each other's book. :)

Now, I'm only up to New Prophecy:Starlight (and will probably start Twilight soon. I wanted to read something else inbetween books but I have the boxset and I can't help myself when they're right there)
Anyway, I think some of the relationships are very realistic and easy to believe, but some are almost ridiculous to me. I don't know whether it's because one of the Erins is better at writing relationships than the other because I haven't checked who wrote what, but does anyone else agree?
For example:
Crowfeather/Feathertail - Slow build up over 'Midnight' of them spending more and more time
together. By 'Moonrise' they're admitting their feelings to each other and Crowfeather is heartbroken over her death.
Believable.
Crowfeather/Leafpool - She helps a windclan cat who is sick. He doesn't want her there and complains, but then keeps an eye on her working. They barely speak. He escorts her home in silence. She finds him at the gathering to briefly ask if the cat is alright. Later he stops her from falling over the cliff, then he's declaring his love. I'm sorry, what? Did I miss something? Am I meant to believe in this supposed love, because I really don't.
What does everyone else think?
