Naomi (nblackburn) | 932 comments I swear I have read the Demon of Dakar but for the life of me, it is not ringing a bell with me. I tend to remember though that I thought it was ok..not fantastic. I think I may have to reread it. Lucky for me, I don't remember it as being very long.

Diane S ☔ Just starting The Hand That Trembles.

message 4: by Diane S ☔ (new)

Diane S ☔ This one is a little harder to get into. This is 3 story lines at once and while I hopeful they will all come together I'm not yet seeing it though it is now getting more interesting.

Runningrabbit | 2 comments I know I might be preaching to the converted, but I sometimes go through this list to discover new nordic authors, although I believe this is mainly for mysteries:

It's just a list of other scandinavian authors.

Diane S ☔ I finished this and it was different than alot of the other nordic novels I have read. The story lines do end up connecting yet it is not as straightforward as many others. Also there are a lot more personal details which is not usually the case. Rated it 3 1/2 stars.

Melissa | 20 comments I just finished The Princess of Burundi. It was the first Nordic Noir book I really didn't like.

It was just hard to get into, it felt really choppy as the prospective kept changing, and the ending was incredibly abrupt.

I agree, Melissa. I see that with a lot of KE's books. He isn't an author I seek out as I do others.
