This is one of the books that is read and loved by everyone. It makes you think about your "Personal Legend" and how to fulfill it. It is a beautiful book full of wisdom.

Favorite line: "When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you achieve it"

Teresa (teresa_bowen) Snow Hill Snow Hill by Mark Sanderson

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

John Steadman is a reporter, his best friend is a policeman. Something untoward is happening in the police station. Set in the mid 1930's
London the historical details rang true as did the attitudes of the people but somehow the story never seemed to grip my imagination. I won't be looking for this author again on the library shelves.

I Am Not Myself These Days: A Memoir (P.S.) I Am Not Myself These Days: A Memoir by Josh Kilmer-Purcell

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Who wouldn't want to read a memoir of an emotional wreck alcoholic who works as an advertising executive at day, but loved transforming himself into a blonde drag queen by night?

Okay.
A lot of people wouldn't.
But, still.

I seriously did not expect to get sucked into this book since I had no idea who the author is, or what he did. Sometimes it got hilarious, but if Kilmer-Purcell had been the type to pity himself and his life, I would have found it to be really awfully sad. I now know all I need to know about drag queens and the night life of escorts in New York from this book, and though I felt uninterested in that at times, it was definitely enjoyable reading about it and constantly exclaiming: "THAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS?!"

So if you like the description, go ahead and read it. I didn't, and I'm glad I did. It was a nice change in my usual style of books.

I’m in love with this book so much.. I listened to it this whole past 4 days and I wish I prolonged it longer. YES! it is THAT good. This book connected with me in every way yet it kept the balance of story telling and astonishing twists. The way most YA fiction books work these days is less story and more soap opera. After reading this book I’m reminded of how amazing Fantasy can be when it’s brilliantly written.

Raya Al-Raddadi
3-5
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/64...

"

You know how relativity dictates that if someone stays on earth, and their twin sibling was on a space ship that traveled close to the speed of light, that their aging would be out of sync with each other?

That's one of the themes explored in Time for the Stars. Enjoyed it.

Not as exhilarating as the previous Next novels, but entertaining all the same. Although, if you plan on reading the series, do NOT START FROM THIS BOOK.

The story is about a 'Guy Montage'. A fireman. But in this world firemen start fires instead of putting them down. He burns books for a living, along with the houses that house them! Then a terrible incident happens that forces him to question everything.

'Fahrenheit 451' tells a story of a futuristic world, in which people are constantly plugged in to various sources of entertainment. Walls are huge flat TVs, pointless and time-consuming programs, people are getting dumber every year, and books are banned (Yes, all books!) . Having books in this world can sentence you to jail if not death.

The story is pretty similar to '1984' in a way.
It's an amazing story. It starts out very slow, but rushes off near the end.
This is definitely a MUST READ!
