Hi there. I have been lurking a while and enjoying all the chat so I thought I would join. I have a bookshop and temporarily (I hope) defunct cafe on a tiny Caribbean island where I live in the rainforest. There isn't anything to do here and even if there was I haven't got any money so I'm online all the time. I'm the sort of person you would probably say should get a life (and you'd be right). I hope its ok to join your group.

Hi Petra! How fabulous of a life! I know you are probably thinking, ah yes, the grass is always greener somewhere else... but I have been to the Caribbean and I can say living a life in that gorgeous place sounds heavenly.
Welcome to Axis! Very pleased to have your voice among us.

It is kind of living a dream, living in the Caribbean and owning a bookshop. But the downside is that everything is expensive and there aren't enough people here to do more than break-even in a bookshop. I love going to London or Miami (which I do whenever I can afford it)and going to malls Koeeoaddi - I can't afford to hire anyone else but I'm looking for a partner for the cafe!
Petra, how could you?!Everybody, she voted for NADER in our GR poll.
I blame him for the last 8 years!
I voted for Nader because I commented on a review concerning the Madonna of the North, she who can see Russia from her kitchen, and was screwed over in a page long diatribe that I was not an American and had no real knowledge of the situation or of Americans and had no right at all to criticise America. I read the first two paragraphs and got bored but that was the gist of it. So I voted for Obama and wrote more or less what I just have but longer. The moderator deleted my comment, so my protest was a vote for Nader. Us iconoclasts must stick together. So buy me a lollipop and I'll suck on it.
