A History of Royals discussion

I really want this group to be a place where people come to discuss Royalty in all its forms, both modern and throughout history. With this in mind, I will be making some changes to the group that I hope will foster discussion and get people more involved. As time goes on, I will be posting updates and announcements here so that you all will know were to look for the changes.

The First change that I would like to announce is the new Open Reads folder. Since many people vote on our group reads, but hardly anyone (including me, I admit) actually reads them or comments, I am going to try something different for monthly reading. Please check out the new Open Reads folder, which will begin in October.

Check out the new Author's Corner. A few of our author members have already signed up for a thread there.

We have yet another new folder. This one is titled Books We Want To Discuss and will have a thread for different books. Unlike buddy reads, this folder will be for books that are being read at different times by people. Hopefully we will find a few that we want to discuss.

Lyn: Call me crazy, but how do I get to the author's corner--my own author thread? I think it's a great idea but I guess I'm not familiar enough with this new idea to know how to post in it.

Thanks, Lyn. Your link above works for me and I've posted. However, just putting that link in my server and trying to go to it that way only gets me into a math and philosophy thread. Strange.

How weird, Karen. I have had that happen to me before, too, though. I have put in a thread and ended up somewhere totally different than where I was supposed to be. Not sure what the deal is.
