Time of book events compared to the Darkest Powers?

Sorry if the title made no sense. I was wondering, is this book happening at the same time of the first darkest powers book, the Summoning? Or is it happening after the events of the Darkest Powers Series? Does anyone know? Because Ive been wondering this throughout the entire book!

I think so too. I read the same thing somewhere, maybe on her website. That and someone they talk about in The Gathering is dead by the end of the Darkest Powers trilogy.
I believe its after. From what I remember reading in The Gathering they refer to Lyle House at one time (though not by name) no longer being open.
Also the author has said that we will see characters from The Darkest Powers series in this series.

I think I've read somewhere on Kelley Armstrong's web site that it's taking place 5 months after the last book in the Darkest Powers trilogy. And in the last book of this series Chloe and the other characters from DP will show up.
i think it before and going to be during the darkest powers because maya talked about dr davidoff visiting them and that he would be coming again soon. before all that stuff went down.
